Heck, if Bachmann would even make the K-27 and the C-19 they have in Fn3
available for the On30 world, this would be cool. MMI is out of that job and
Bachmann already has a planning that can be easily converted to On30.

I would love to see ´em some day...

Hey Bachmann folks,

how about your early dedication to the C&S? I do have the two Moguls you had made to a Colorado & Southern prototype
and it all began this way. A C&S passenger train set plus some freight cars, this all cries to add some motive power such
as a C&S No. 71 engine, a No. 75 or 76 or even a model of the little No.9 one can find today in Breckenridge, CO.

The 71 would be one of my favorites, you just need to go there to Central City, CO and take your measurements,
she sits there just for you. And for us Colorado NArrow Gauge bums going there, dreaming t have a model of it one far day...

How about adding something like that?

Ok, we all know that the manufacturers in the US are going through rough times. We´re not through that yet.

But even as I understand that Bachmann will be extremely carefulto decide what to produce in the future,
I really felt beeing let down. First, you Bachmann folks did try to catch our eyes by placing a uncertain info
about coming products, then - nothing. Very disappointing.

I still hope for something Colorado-style... A C-16 or C-18, why not? All us Narrow Gauge buffs know the 315,
and it always had been wise to produce something the folks can still see somewhere out on the tracks,
so a Bachmann-produced 315 or 318 would be a cool thing...

But I do not expect anything the very next time, so I can´t feel to be let down by you, folks...

I did convert a Tweetsie tenwheeler into a RGS 20. Easy job.

I´m just making another C-25 conversion, using more brass parts than I did before. PSC has a lot of fitting parts which will make a more accurate No. 375.

But heck; I can´t add photos here, it doesn´t work!

As Mike said, a C-21 and a C-25 is a easy conversion. I did three - the two C-21 No. 360 and 361 plus the C-25 No. 375 and I´m just about to do another C-25 as I wanted to have one with the more recent livery, green plus scenic herald on the tender. Bachmann could have done this themselves. The 2-8-0´s are perfect bases for the 2-21 and C-25.

A reliable K-27 would be the right thing. As would be a RGS No.74 and her sisters without Walschaert´s gear as they had been running on the C&S.

Or-speaking D&RGW wise: On30 versions of the C-19s in Fn3! And a K-27 in D&RGW and RGS after wreck!
The C-18 would have appeal too! Think of the 315. Some folks like to have models of engines still alive!!!

Heck, did I say "RGS 20" yet. A snap from a Bachmann Tweetsie engine...

I have some, I run them with AMS/Accucraft, San Juan and scratchbuild D&RGW cars and they look just... Awesome

Bachmann folks, you have done great to pick some D&RGW/RGS prototypes for Fn3...
What about us here in On30 (although I have a RGS 455 here in Fn3 just to admire...)

as Bill said, the Forney Engines are very picky on track. They can´t take sharp curves and can cause derailments to the trailing cars due to the big overhang. This can be fixed, but is a bit of work. As Bill mentioned, this is my recommendation too: try to put some weight to the trailing truck (not into the tender body, the weight needs to be on the truck. If possible, try to get some very thin lead or something you can glue underneath the truck. There is not much space and please be extra careful as you don´t want to have a electric short here...

If this doesn´t help: why not make a nice little tender engine out of the Forney. The Backwoods Miniatures folks have a wonderful conversion kit for it and this will make the Forney take sharper curves.

Hi there, here are some ideas:

Did you change the headlight? If so, or if any clue about it: You may want to check the cables and plugs in the smoke box of that lokie...

Did you check the Decoder settings? I know some Decoders do have some kind of Strobe Light CV´s....
Check the electric plug between engine and tender, check track if clean...

Try to undo the electric plug on the decoder and plug it in again.

If this won´t work, I would have no other idea....

my Mudhens run fine. I first had issues with my K-36 and that was the reason I dropped the idea to buy a K-37...

But I did build a C-25 and two C-21 from Bachmann Connies. Just fine runners...

a while back I spoke to Bruce about the 455 after wreck. I did not check about this engine the last time, but the RGS mudhen did really become real!

Ok, all these MMI Models are kind of "black box". Some run fine, some don´t. Heck, I´d rather buy one from Bachmann or even replace all my MMI models by Bachmann models if they would once built them.

Ok, I think that Bachmann did produce for some good reason the RGS past wreck K-27 No.455 which is not that much prominent with a lot of Narrow Gaugers. That was Fn3, ok, and there was no MMI model already.

BUT: MMI did not make the 455 after wreck and only by Southwest Narrow Gauge´s efforts they will eventually make one. I would go and sell all my MMI mudhens if Bachmann would make one. I´d go for a 453, 456, 463 and the 455 RGS past wreck, though... 

Ok, the more recent Vauclain version would not be for me, but why not making it. To me, the K-27 is a engine which looked better after the nearly complete change of design in the past-Vauclain era, but I´m sure there are lots of folks out there, such as Skarloey Railway posted, which may need a Vauclain K-27.

The point is, that, if Bachmann would make one, we would have a perfect looking, brilliantly running model.
