I am using a Digitrax Super Chief system, tracks are clean as all other engines run ok for as long as you want. These engines will do this even if they are not coupled together. If you uncouple them and let them run they stay pretty close together, forgot to say all lights stay on when they stop, so i don`t think speed matching is the problem but i could be wrong that is why i am asking here.  Thanks   Joe

N / Kato question
March 30, 2008, 11:17:59 PM
I know this is the Bachmann board but cant find the answer anywhere else. Does anyone know of a problem with Kato f3s when using a Digitrax dn163kob decorder that will cause them to stop running after 5 or 10 min? I have a ABA set for the CA Zepher that runs fine then any one of the engines just stops running, ture it off for 10 or 15 mins and they will run again until the next one drops out. Any help appreacated. Thanks

Taz-of-boyds, sorry i meant to say operating on address of 00 on the main track but still uncontrolable.

Jim Banner,i was talking about the main rails on the main tracks but if the decoder is bad why would it operate at address of #3 on the test track which is controled by the Zepher which is totally seperate from the main layout when all other engines run correctly on it?This doesn`t make any sense!  Thanks again to you both.  Joe

General Discussion / dcc problem
November 14, 2007, 07:30:18 PM
Hello all of you brains, i have a question for you. I am installing new decorders in 2 new N scale ER Sharks using oem circuit boards, here is the problem on the test track the engine will operate correctly using address #3(default) but put engine on the main tracks and it will not operate at all on DCC but will operate on dc if you short rails together but can not control it as it runs full speed, put back on test track and it works fine. All other engines operate correctly on all adresses including #3. Test track is running a Digatrak Zepher and the main tracks are running a Digatrak DCS150 with a DT400. The decorders are MRC AD330 purchaced new. Any help would be apprecated.  Joe

Was the Ca Zefpher ever pulled by steam or was it always diesel powered? If steam was used what type was used?
   Thanks in advance   Joe

What is the posabilty of Bachman putting out a new series of the UP DD40AX? Or maybe being able to get new axel sets and /or new axel gears in N scale?
