General Discussion / EZ-App Sound
November 30, 2015, 12:45:02 PM
How does the new Bluetooth EZ App Engines produce their sound...from the engine or from a speaker system of some sort?

The Dynamis System is wireless Infrared system. Florescent lights certainly interfere with the systems operation. We can't demonstrate this at all in our store.

When you use your isolated power pack, does the train run on the isolated track?

you've puzzled me with the power pack extra hook up. If I understand you, do you have more than the primary pack connected? I mean, are you using additional Power-packs?

Have you cleaned all your inner wheel contacts and all the wheels?
Use a track cleaner and Q-tips to do the wheels and a toner cleaner to do the contacts.
Should it be needed a little DW40 on the Q-tip works great to break stubborn grim...BUT... clean it dry as so their is no residue left.
On the other hand, Brass track is very common and most affordable solid rail on the market. However it does attract a hidden film that can cause intermittent power loss. That is, if the power is put to the track instead of the engine via battery. YES! Brass track requires constant care as do the rail joiners between sections. If applicable, solder all you joints!
Hope this helps.

General Discussion / EZ Command - Walk Around Unit
January 06, 2015, 11:13:48 AM
Dear Friends,
I was informed by Bachmann, that the 44907 Walk Around Companion unit has been discontinued and pulled from the EZ Command Line of controllers. It was said that the sales numbers were down from expectations and can't support their QTY minimum reorder. There will be no upgrade or replacements.

I understand business well, as I've been established and selling for 40 years in this trade. OK! So the numbers are down and the minimum reorder does not justify. So what! The Walk Around is the only Add-On system they have to expand the EZ Command. Without it, You might as throw the EZ Command Controller Out the Window too. Now, we dealers must revert to other companies that totally support all the options for a DCC system. Not a problem...but really!

Bachmann, You should be proud of the fact you have a most easiest entrance DCC system that is fool proof to the beginners and to family modelers. Even the train Club I founder and belong too. Please go back to the thinking room and consider all of us, not just numbers.
Listen...I'm not bashing Bachmann, anyone person or one anything.

Sorry Bachmann but the Dynamis System must be carefully re-written in a complete and thorough booklet that make the mapping of the system much more understanding and considerably logical. I hope Bachmann does not revert to their Dynamis DCC system as their only DCC System ultimately . Please!... if anyone responds, let's find a resolve and push to re-instate the 44907 Walk Around Companion.
Thank You!

Hey Doneldon,
Thanks for the information.
Yes I understand the the simplicity of the EZ Command System and the purpose of this usage is to introduce beginners to a very simple way to operate a 2 main with yard in DCC.
In a way protecting them from what might be a more complicated technology and wisdom burn-out of other more professional DCC systems.
In anyways: Thanks very much for your kind words, it is very helpful.

Question#1
I understand the typical use of the Walk-Around and have used it accordingly.
HOWEVER. Is it possible to use multiple Walk-Around units say about 3 units in addition to the EZ Command Controller. Not necessarily to unplug and move them but to be able to leave them stationary as plugged so there can be additional people operating the layout.
ALSO-
Question #2
Bachmanns 4 video's on Youtube   indicate the the EZ Command Controller has the capability of supporting 128 speed steps. If this is available, How is this done?
Thank You

Large / Reversing Trolley
October 12, 2007, 07:07:59 PM
Hey everyone,
I want to create a reversing trolley operation using large scale "G".
using the Bachmann trolley cars. This is to run just like Bachmann's HO & On30 point to point sets. How would I do this and I'm having trouble finding what I need.
Thanks for the help.

General Discussion / EZ Track Wiring
May 16, 2007, 08:35:29 AM
Hi Everyone,
I'm doing a commercial layout using Ez-track. I want to hide the wires down through the table. Would there be any problem cutting the red & green wires and extending them to re-connecting them under.
The reason is to drill small holes instead of such large ones due to the typical end connectors. I will be doing this layout in total Bachman DCC.
Let me know
