Would like to know if and when the steam sound board true blast plus may be available for separate sale.
Recently installed a true blast plus Diesel sound board and like it and will buy ore but now want to try the steam sounds board also.

thanks i thought about that very easy to do but may just leave it as i have several others with the true blast 2 but not crazy about
the grade crossing blast.

Lee yes they are or were very nice , the pair i bought a while back had very little run time perhaps a few times if that around track as the wheels and rollers looked new really new they still do as i only ran it a few times before sound suddenly stopped.

Checked the wires going to board put small tip soldering gun on them to make sure they were good joints but same result
afterward.
For now i'll just leave board out and perhaps 1 cold winter day (probably soon) look at it again .

At this point i suspect one of those things on the board went bad as i could not see anything externally even with my jewelers eyepiece.

Took speaker out of its baffle it is a 16ohm speaker .
Thought speaker was bad but not the case the ole true sound board went bad , when 10 volts applied the board
components get too hot to touch after 1 minute .
Good thing yesterday when sound stopped i quit running the dummy unit .

Does anyone know the "ohm" of the older speaker used in williams o gauge diesel's the one set  in a black plastic case
came with what was called back then true sounds(leaving track announcement,bell,horn and rev sounds)  from the 1990s ?

The engine was returned to original owner for refund as it would be to costly to buy pair of motor with the trucks.\
after further looking .

Bought Williams by Williams AA Set204S   SD45 New Havens made years ago with engine sounds and dispacther announcement.
These were brand new in the original box and shipper box as stated and run wonderful happy to say.

I posted this question in the wrong section and was directed to this section of forum.
I have a FP45 Williams Amtrak crown edition engine that has a bad can motor
flywheel that is kaput.
Will the newer FP45 Williams by Bachmann motor fit in the original truck as a direct replacement ?

If so is it ok to replace the one motor only as it may run faster than the other older
motor . The crown edition engine has a electronic reverse board if that helps
anyone.

First asked question in March about when the True Blast Plus boards would be available
for us to do our own upgrades.

Any updated information is appreciated.

Would like to put in the true blast plus sound board into a
Rio Grande PA-1 recently purchased and take out the true blast 11 board.

Question are the boards available for this application and if so how would i
purchase it and the cost please as i do not see them listed as of yet.
