Its my understanding that the green paint was a load of left over army stuff that was gotten cheap, ditto for the San Juan set.

Depression era stuff, get it from where you could.

I had the same problem, I dont use sound so I take out the chuff switches, ditto on Shays and Climax. Solved it fo me to. Dave has the nail on the head, trying to activate a pressure sensative device (contacts) off a floppy bunch of loose drive mechanisms is ludicrous IMO.

As K-27s are of an interset right now you might like Rod's Is now finished, its 1.22.5. a bash from a 1.20.3 Bachmann consolidation.  Here is a link to his gallery.

Charlie, I could nt agree more about the Mudhen book.

My friend Rod Hayward has been tearing his hair out in the UK trying to lay his hads on a copy.

It's my understanding that is out of print ?

Anybody heard any reports about the running of the loco on that day out?

Was it prototypical, i.e. did it waddle off the track much ?  ;D

I believe thats just an optical illusion caused by the perspective of converging verticles. Take a look at this, looks parallel to me.

I've got loads of pics and they all look like this.
