my question for anyone pertaining to the n scale j class is I have the spectrum version and I got the dcc sound soldered in but at same time I broke off (4) of the (6) wires on the engine to the tender plug anyone know what is what on them in order that they are soldered on? I have contacted Bachmann two times and oh yeah will send a wiring diagram never happened yet Thanks in advance

This question is for anyone that can help. I've got  Bachmann 2-6-6-2 that should run dc and or dcc and did to my useless remembering

















For someone that can help, I have a nce system using Bachmann dc controllers,  I've got a bachann 2-6-6-2 that used to run either or DC and DCC now it only runs on DCC How do I reprogram it to run again on dc track? my knowing is ziltch. I punched some rong numbers (?) into my controller? It runs awesome otherwise just like to run it on a section of dc  layout separate of my dcc .thanks ahead of time.

the white plastic gears are cracked and I've been told there is none to be had. my question is  could I use the spectrum driver wheels listed in parts?

yes,thanks for the response I swapped out the decoder and put in the 750 heavy steam and 15mm speaker. AWESOME sound

digitrax sent an email to use the existing decoder and add their decoder#sfx0416. I assume it solders to the same points as bachmann decoder I'm new at trying this. I saw in an earlier thread Skipgear used digitrax decoder but didn't mention what #s of decoder . .any info would help!

thanks for the followup. I will have to check out soundtraxx,the engine runs as good as my bigboy and I was hoping with sound it could even sound as good.

question for anyone is I  have a spectrum 2-6-6-2 with dcc no sound and like to add sound can this be done with what ever the Bachmann train has or does it have to be replaced with something else in a decoder with sound . what brands will fit I'm new to the dcc era  I'm using a nce system are most compatible?

I've found at the local train store to get a microtrains coupler conversion kit called magne-matic. they come in different numbers with different lengths,makes for a nice coupler like atlas or kato.

To Mr.bachmann or someone that can help. Purchased  this 2-8-0 DCC installed January '13 ,I've got about 15hrs on it now,I 'm only running DC anolog at this time(dreaming ahead).It has run great until now.The traction tires keep coming off.How do ya replace them?Or do I have to send it in? RUNS AWESOME other wise.HELP

question is, having had a 2-8-0 DCC ready before and got rid of it(kick myself)I want another one,only what I see is 2-8-0 DCC equipped.I'm still running on DC ,will that be a problem? help!
