Large / Re: Golden Spike Set in Large Scale ?

I know that Lionel has announced a set in their latest catalog. Both locos are their over-used,cheesy looking General 4-4-0 design. The catalog lists the two loco set at $549.00. There is also going to be a brass set that Lionel is releasing. No info on that set is currently available.

Yes, but that is all O-Gauge.
A Large Scale version of that would be nice!

Well, I don't know about that.

LGB is coming out with a very limited and very expensive set in brass and they tried their damndest to keep it under wraps.

Bachmann already has 4-4-0 locos, seems to me they wouldn't miss this opportunity of the 150th anniversary.
They could just do a better job of keeping this a secret until the New York Toy Fair or even closer to the anniversary date.

Large / Golden Spike Set in Large Scale ?
January 27, 2019, 11:56:31 AM
The 10th of May is the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad.

Just wondering if Bachmann is bringing out a Large Scale set of the two locomotives and the "golden spike" to commemorate that event.

I just noticed that the 2017 New Items brochure has no download option for off-line viewing.
Similar to the issue that was discussed here:
http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/board/index.php/topic,34614.0.html

Is it possible to add this/ or enable that?

Thanks,
Knut

General Discussion / Re: 2018 Catalog
February 23, 2018, 10:28:39 AM
Hi,

To clarify this even more -
When you select the 2017 catalog, there is a download option just to the left of the print option.
That download option is missing on the 2018 catalog.
This means one can "look" at the 2018 catalog as long as one has an internet connection but one cannot use the catalog otherwise.

General Discussion / 2018 Catalog not downloadable
February 21, 2018, 09:28:07 AM
On the Catalog & brochure section it says:
Click on links below to view the information in your browser. Once the document loads, you may browse or use the menu at the top of the page to download, print or share with other people.

Problem is that the 2018 catalog menu does not include a download option as advertised so I cannot look at anything in it unless I'm connected to the internet - not very useful.
Hope Bachmann fixes that soon
