I'm not entirely sure, but I know the auto reversing track requires an auto reversing module, so it's probably dcc. However, I would read the manual before taking any action

I'm sure that it can be done. I myself don't have experience with DCC, but from what I've seen on here, I believe you may need to remove some of the frame to make room for a speaker, and the speaker may require a different decoder or some sort of add-on.

I just saw the K4 and was interested, but I run DC only. Does this locomotive run on DC as well as DCC? If not, is it easy to convert to DC, and if so, how would that be done?

I had a 2-6-2, and the smoke unit did work, but the smoke was very thin and it tended to get blown away by the heating/ac lol. I ended up taking it out cause it smelled like something was burning, and it was getting quite hot also.

Try to just post in one section of the forum, and try to stay in the same page for all posts. I'm not an admin or anything, but I found it somewhat confusing to see the same thing over 2 times in different sections.

Why not just buy the track? Wanted a backup loco?

There may still be acc knobs, but if not, you may need to buy an accessory terminal for the wall.
