The sound decoder only gives me 8 functions which I'm learning with the sound value vs over 20 with MTH locos with sound so Bachman really makes these locos to work on their E-Z command system with only 9 functions on the power pack even thou this loco was $275.00 when new in 2012.

My DDA40AX has 3 horn selections with the CV# 115, default # 0 then #1 or #2 for different Leslie horns but when I input on my MRC Tech 6 it does not change the horn sound---P115 enter, 0 or 1 or 2 enter, no change. Also with my DC GP40 running I assume I need to run my DCC/sound DD40 in DC or analog to run both locos at the same time?

Yes Rich, can motor, but I've decided to use it as equipped, like you said, seems like a waste of a loco, just glad to know you can if you want to, thanks!

Have a DCC ready GP40 #63528 that I received, have also a MRC Tech 6 controller for the track, want advantage am I going to receive by adding a 8 pin decoder for $35.00? And is it worth it if I'm not adding a sound board which is more expense.

Is this Loco DCC Ready or not, have found some that are and some are not with this stock #. It's a GP40.

Does Bachmann still make the 160-44932 EZ command? Did not see on their website, I've been told it only has 10 functions and some people say that it has more by moving some shift button to get 10 more, don't see it in the instructions, anybody? Thank you
