Thomas & Friends / Is it Just me?

I just got my Bachmann Henrietta and I noticed that her coupler looks to be a little higher than my other rolling stock and locomotives.  When I try and run her there is always a derailment because of her coupler being so high.  Does anyone else have this problem or think the coupler is too high?  Here's some photos I took of my Henrietta.  Yes, I don't have Toby yet! :P

Yes, I saw your Henrietta. :P  Good thing Bachmann made her, because mine would have been worse. :D

Thank you. If I am able to find a suitable coach for the 'Works Unit' then yes, but I don't know if anybody has any ideas regarding the type I could use or where I could look to get some ideas? I might convert the hornby track cleaning coach into something that resembles the coach unit then.
For the 'Works Unit' coah you could use the Tomy model that comes with Harvey & modify it.

Using a toy!!! :P  What are you thinking TF247!?! :P

I've had a concern with the Thomas and Friends packaging style.

All of the Bachmann items I've seen in stores come in boxes, including HO, OO and N locomotives, which I find to be convenient packages for models. The question I have is why in the Thomas and Friends range, the locomotives and stock come in tricky-to-open plastic packages that need tools to open. Is there any particular reason for this, or just for looks? I'd find it a lot more convenient to have my items boxed, rather than making a special carrying case for the items (and I'm sure other people feel the same!).

This is just a concern, and suggestion. Thank you for your time.

I think that the plastic packages should only be used for the locomotives.  They are very protective and I remember that the one guy at the hobby shop told me that if you drop the model in the package the worst damage that could happen is the models face poping off.  Locomotives in plastic packages and Rolling Stock in boxes. :)
Boxes still keep the items safe. :P

You are so hard to please! :P

December 08, 2008, 11:06:51 PM
Dear Mr. the Bach-man,
I usually get model's off of www.ttstation.com and I was wondering if you could tell me when they will be getting Edward.  I buy the model's off of them because they are closer to my area and seem to take only 2 days for me to recieve.  If you can help, please do.  :-\

Thomas & Friends / Question about Edward Mr. the Bach-man
November 20, 2008, 11:24:53 PM
Excuse me sir,
I was wondering how many wheel drive Edward is going to be as I am putting a hill on my layout and don't want to make it to steep for him.  Thanks. ;)

Mr. the Bach-man
Eddierools says that he is having trouble on here.  He says that he can't log in or log out.  He wants to know if you can fix this for him.

Thomas & Friends / Re: Leaving the Hobby

I got some good news. ;D  I was showing my parents Dan Snell's series on YouTube and when they saw his layout they thought it would be good for my house.  My dad and I are working on building tables that will mount on the wall.  I am going to have my layout set up to run around the basement.  I have started on a small viaduct that will run from one table to the other.  Mom is also happy about this idea because she won't have to trip over my layout anymore.  Sadly though I am going to be taking apart my old layout and use the track and such on my new one.  I will post pics once I get a camera. :)

Thomas & Friends / Leaving the Hobby

Hey guys,
I am sorry I haven't been on for a while.  I have just started school again and I am very stressed out.  I am sorry to say I might be getting out of this hobby.  My mom is getting sick of having to trip over my layout and she has told me several times she is going to sell all my stuff.  I will see about posting an update in this topic as time goes on.  Best wishes to all you guys out there. ;)

HO / USRA 0-6-0 Steam Loco
September 15, 2008, 01:22:21 AM
I just bought a USRA 0-6-0 Steam Loco and I am having problems with the smoke unit.  I put 4 drops in it but the loco won't smoke.  Does anyone know how many drops are to be put in or what might be the problem?
