I'd like to use toggle switches in place of EZ track turnout controllers. Does leaving the power on to the turnout after it has been thrown cause any damage to the turnout mechanism? Would like to have LED's on the control panel show the position of the turnout.

I have a Bachmann F7B unit with this circuit board/decoder (H601X-PC801). Would like to obtain data as to what CV's are available and what are the defaults. How can I program the decoder with DataPro and Digitrax DCS52?

HO / Re: electrically wired frogs

Both turnouts are Bachmann E-Z Command DCC models 44133 and 44131. The description about both of these turnouts is that the frogs are electrically wired.  However the instructions do not address that feature. I want to know what that statement means.

Thanks for responding.

I just received two turnouts that the description states they have electrically wired frogs. Does that mean they are powered. If yes how do they handle the polarity change?

General Discussion / erratic F7 B Unit movement
July 24, 2020, 06:21:16 PM
I have a DCC F7 A and B Unit.  The A unit runs smoothly and functions over a wide range of speeds at reasonable cab settings.  The B unit requires considerably higher voltage to attain the same speeds and does not run smoothly.  I've tried various CV settings trying to balance the two units so I can consist them.  Please help/
