Ok I'm sure that most of you guys know about one of my earlier posts 'No Traction?' so I need some more help with this problem. The Ah Ha!! comes from the fact that I have found the problem. The rear tires are working fine on the loco but the front aren't spinning at all. I am not sure if it is that the shaft that connects the motor and the wheels is disconnected or if the gears are stripped out or if something is lodged in the gears and is restraining movement. What I need help on is fixing it. I would like to try to fix it myself and I know how to get to its "guts" but I am not sure how to fix it when I get there. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Right?        Look at the math I have done at the top. This is your
                  sides on the oval. See?   You just have to put one of
                  the 10" on the 5" side and pu the other 5" with the
                  other 10. Try it out.

I am replying about running multiple trains on one set of track. I do it all the time with no help from complecated systems or anything like that. I just set two locomotives and some cars in two different areas, plug in the controller and boom two trains at once!Hope this helps.

I have found a train shop in my area and I am going to take it there in a couple of weeks. I would call service but I would more than likely have to send it off and  I would really miss it.   If the guy there doesn't know whats wrong then service, be ready.

Ok heres whats up. I rotate between my two locos to make sure that they are running at peak efficiency. When I took it off the lonely E-Z track segment I keep it on it ran good for a while and then messed up.

Hey,
I just recently bought a Santa Fe Tri-Level w/autos and i had to do the same operation. I think I did it very wrong.....I took off the whole truck, popped off the thing that holds the coupler and then switched them out put the truck back on and added the Tri-Level to my train. The little copper spring which keeps the coupler strait came out and I had to put it back in. All of this took 20 minutes!!!!! So could some one help me to do it the right way for next time?

This loco will not go on a flat place either....It's really weird I've never had a Bachmann loco mess up like that. It will go down the grade if I place it there and may build up speed to reach the next grade but it will not go up the grade!I do not see anything unusual abot the loco when it gets stuck and it's not really stuck......it spins.I would like to hear from The Bach-Man!

  My Bachmann N scale Norfolk & Southern GP50 has a problem running on my track. What is it? It won't go! I have made an over & under figure 8 and when the loco tries to go up the grade it just spins. At first I thought it was my track in that area but I switched out locos for my Alaska GP40 and it ran just fine. ANY help would be appreciatted.

  I like the 5000 class 2-10-4s as well but I'm a deisel kind of guy my last post "Anyone Like GP15s" was about GP15s, 7s ,and 9s. I would like those in ATSF and I would also like an SD90 in ATSF also.I have noticed that Bachmann makes alot of HO scale ATSF locomotives. I would get an HO scale set but I like the N scales more.

  Does anyone think that  Bachmann needs to make more ATSF locomotives? I do. I look for them all the time and never find any. My layout has alot of ATSF cars but is pulled by an Alaska locomotive. Can you picture that? By the way I'm talking about deisels.
