Thanks Old John and Jon D.

It's wonderful how much help you get from other people in this hobby!

Large / 2-8-0 loco to tender wires
July 06, 2009, 04:04:49 PM
I know you shouldn't take anything apart without proper documentation but I did it again.

I disassembled my Connie's tender wiring and now that I want to put a sound system in it I don't know what the wires are for. There is a 2-wire and a 4-wire connection to the loco.

Can anyone help where those wires go to on the loco side?

Thanks, Gion

Large / Re: Large Scale Locomotive suggestions.

I'd like to stick with Large Scale, preferably 1:20.3, but I'm not into ever larger models. I would love Bachmann to enlarge some of their 0n30 stuff, like the T-boiler Shay, the 0-4-0 or 0-4-2 Porters or the 4-wheel rail cars. Small prototypes for Large Scale I say!

Large / Warning sticker on metal wheels package
September 20, 2008, 11:45:20 PM
On the back of the packages of 92421 metal wheels there is a sticker warning about cancer and other nasty effects if the product is used in California. Why is this so? Plastic softener, chemical blackener or what else?

Large / My wish list

Am I really such a minority? My interest is in small 19th. century rolling stock like Bachmann produces so nicely in 0n30 scale. Rather than 20th century Porters and a K-27 I'd love a T-boiler Shay, an early Climax or a small 4-4-0, not to mention those cute 0-4-0 and 0-4-2 Porters. Any chance of transferring those models from 0n30 to Large Scale?
