HO / Re-Lettering a GP9
June 26, 2012, 11:44:12 PM
Hi all,

I want to re-letter a Bachmann GP9 and was wondering if the roadnames/logos on these locos are painted on or are decals themselves. Additionally what is the bast way to remove them? Thanks in advance for any help!

yet more spam!

Yes your post is Spam.  :P  ::)

Chaz you are very right. A few of you guys on this section of the forum get out of hand a lot. I usually never post here, but I do read some threads just to see what and who has gone wrong this time and every time I am shocked at how the stupidest little comments turn into a huge flame war.

If you guys want to keep this part of the Bachmann forum, the "nameless" should get their act together. It does not take much effort to issue a little respect for the people on this board. If a post is made and you feel you must respond to it with some unneeded comment, just stop right there.....don't post, click the back button and go browse another topic. It takes less effort to ignore a post then to make a comment that will escalate into something worse.

When in doubt, scratch it out! - A helpful tip I have learned while on different forums....

Thanks for your time.....

I would also like to know. I want to get the Russian iron and letter it as the Sonoma from the North Pacific Coast Railroad.

Just as a point of reference:
Checking the discounters in the current issue of GR, a full-on anniversary and two JS cars (with metal railings) is less combined than the set is selling for now.

What really surprises me is the clamoring for Spectrum quality and detail that has echoed through this and other forums for so many years, that there would be interest in an older version.

Not that there is anything wrong with the older version, especially since it should be a Version 5 chassis, but I think I would be going out and looking for the metal handrail version of the cars and the latest detail update on the 4-6-0.

Just a reminder....this set is going on sale for around $120 or less after Christmas.

Also, I don't think the set is really aimed at serious garden railroaders; rather something for families to put around their Christmas tree....or as a collector's item.

Large / 2007 OSH Train Set - Photos
November 08, 2007, 09:17:37 PM
Hi all,

I was informed by a friend that the new OSH train sets for 2007 were now on the shelves so tonight I decided to go check them out and snap a couple photos for you guys. Got there and wondered through the Christmas section until I got to the last Christmas aisle....found it! I must say I am quite impressed and this is a very nice set. It is a Bachmann Ten Wheeler (NOT the Anniversary) a combine, and observation, all with the OSH logo and lettering. Coaches have battery powered lighting with the standard 9V. Comes with an oval of Bachmann track and a transformer; as usual with all Bachmann sets.

I plan on buying one of these sets when they go to 50% off after Christmas. I may be a narrow gauge modeler....but you have to have some fun sometimes right?

Anyway here are some photos.....if you have questions about the set feel free to ask and I will see what I can do.

The loco...sorry about the flash....overhead store lights don't make the best background lighting.

The combine

The observation

All the sets on the top shelf.....at $230 I don't think they are going too far....not until after Christmas at least when they go to 50% off

Fine, It won't ever happen unless they decide to make ON2 and have enough demand for Thomas, years after you all are eternally lifelless in a box in the ground.

You'r mean >:( . And how do you really know that they are never going to make them. what do you have a time machien or something? >:( Just give it a chance. :(

You spelled "machine" wrong.......

Hi I am Matt. I live in Redding, CA and I model in 1:20.3 (narrow gauge) in G scale. I enjoy it very much. The garden railroad has been ongoing for about 3 years. I am also into HO, but have no layout of my own which is why I joined the Dunsmuir and Cedar Flats Model RR club. I also belong to the Shasta Garden Railroad Society (www.shastagrs.com) and the Shasta Cascade Rail Preservation Society.
