  I remember reading somewhere that White Pass 71 ( or maybe 70) at one time had a exhaust steam injector on it, and that it was the only NG loco ever built with one. Can anyone shed some light on this ?

  Does anyone know if there are prototype drawings out there for the USRA heavy 2-10-2 and the USRA heavy 4-8-2? Maybe in the the railroad encyclopedia that model railroader put out?   I have the encyclopedia by mainline modelers and they are not included in them.

  I know this is crazy but I have heard several strong rumors about a Southern railway locomotive  overturned many years ago and is in the river along the NS mainline a little west of Asheville. It is most likely burried in the mud, but I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on this
   Also I've heard several people talk about a hudson or possibly a pacific in the woods or possibly a barn in Ohio.  Anyone heard this ?
   I don't want to open a rumor mill thing here, but would be interested if anyone had heard about any of these. I know that they are both probably not true, and am not trying to say they are, but I am just curious about them, or any other similar types of " lost " engines.

  I was wondering if the drawings for the EBT 14,15 or 16-18 series mikados are available anywhere?

Was wondering if anyone has any really recent pictures or information on the TVRM restoration of SRR 630?  They don't update their website with photos too much. How is it coming?

So I have seen several pictures of 4501 at TVRM stripped down. Are there any plans on restoration?  Also I heard something about TVRM trying to acquire GSMRR SRR 722 ? IT seems if there were some plans for mainline excursions in the long run that maybe the A&WP 290 or even C&O 614 might be good candidates.
   Was just wondering... Thought someone on here might know. I know they have been busy at work to get the 630 out hopefully by next summer in time for the 610 to be taken down.

ya a N&W 4-8-0 would be great. Especially the larger M-2c with the longer 6 axle tender and the baker valve gear.  I think a great locomotive that NO one has done in plastic would be a USRA heavy 4-6-2... then I could make a Southern Ps-4 from it! Or someone like Broadway could just make a accurate Ps-4 with hodges trailing truck, baker valve gear, 14K tender.  Would be Great!!!   
  But honestly everyone has heard of the big boy even though there were only I believe 25 or so. But its simply that they think that the 4-8-0 would not be as popular. So they could not sell as many of them.

I have several1/20.3 bachmann hoppers and a few aristo craft heavy weight pullmans, and I am also thinking of buying a few accucraft 1/20.3 narrow gauge cars.
What is the best solution to make them roll better?   I know aristo and several other companies make ball bearing wheel sets. What bearings/ wheel sets do you recommend ?

Also I wanted to convert all the cars to kadee couplers. What number couplers do you recommend for these cars ?

I hope to have it finished one of these days. I just got the trailing truck finished. And also have been working on the tender and almost have it finished. Once I get the locomotive finished I would really like to build  3-4 Crescent limited pullman cars and then start on either a N&W Class A or a heavy mountain.

  I am asking because I am finishing up a live steam Ps-4 in 7.5 inch gauge and would like to build a USRA heavy mountain and there are castings available for the USRA heavy mike and I wanted to use the dome castings and smokebox front castings from the mike on the mountain.

In my Southern reference book by Richard Prince.
It lists the Ts-1 4-8-2 ( USRA light) as having 79inch inside diameter boiler right behind the smoke box.
The MS-1 2-8-2 ( USRA light) is also 79.
The Ps-4  4-6-2 ( basically USRA heavy) is 76 5/8. my model is 10 3/4 in. OD boiler at front.
The Ms-4 2-8-2 ( USRA heavy mike)  is 84.5. The railroad warehouse model is 11 5/8 inch at boiler front. 
The Ss-1 2-10-2 ( USRA light )  is 87.5

I am sure that the light pacific which I do not have the outlines for is around 70 inches or so. So a good bit smaller than the Ps-4.  So from that book it does seem that the light mike and light mountain are the same as far as diameter goes.  The firebox for the Ms-1 is 114 X 84 approx and the mountain ( Ts-1) is the same except the length is 120.    The Ps-4 and Ts-1 also have the same size firebox.
Again I really appreciate the info.

If I remember correctly the USRA light mikado and light mountain had basically the same diameter boiler, but the mountains was longer and had a bigger firebox.   Is this also true with the USRA heavy mikado and heavy mountain? please correct me if that is incorrect.   Also are there any prototype drawings out there for the heavy mountain or heavy pacific ?

  I would personally love to see some ET&WNC or EBT stuff in 1/20.3.  Then maybe Some SRR steam power in 1/29th that would be nice as well.
