HO / Re: 3 -truck Climax - truck removal
August 09, 2012, 12:13:33 PM
I found the solution, thanks to a fellow at Bachmann train Co. by the name of Joe. Make sure the drive shaft is disconnected, then grasp the truck and gently wiggle and pull and they just come off real slick like .

Mr Bachmann
The price of the cleaning Pads was not the issue. The issue is the price of shipping $18.90 for a item #16949 that is 1in x 1in x 1/16 and weighs absolutely next to nothing and the shipping should be minimal. As suggested, Ive phoned Bachmann twice and Emailed shopatron , no answer yet. I hope you can help.

Hi Doneldon
I did phone the parts dept this morning to make an order for 2 things. One thing was a HO  shay Bell & whistle assembly which they filled, but the cleaning Pads he explained are from a different source or something and I had to go where the Bachmann site sent me. It almost sound like a seperate store under Bachmann direction. I,m hoping the Bach-mann can help.

HO / How to order cleaning pads.
May 07, 2012, 11:13:37 AM
Mr Bachmann your help would be appreciated. I recently tried to order replacement pads for my tank cleaning car on line from your site. It then directs me to a site called shopatron where the cleaning pads #16949 are priced at $17.00 a pair.and estimated shipping at $3.99 US. Then when I go to checkout, the shipping jumps to $18.90 US. Thats $18.90 cents shipping for a very small article.I tried to phone them, but the phone number is restricted to USA only. This amount of mailing charges will not sit right with your loyal Canadian customers. Your help would be appreciated.

HO / Re: 50 ton climax
August 11, 2010, 12:15:51 PM
Dag-I had same thing happen to me just over a month ago. After talking to Bachmann on the phone,I decided to send engine back.Recieved a phone call a couple weeks later saying it was unrepairable and was given the same offer of replacement you recieved,so choose 0 6 0 Saddle Tank Switcher which arrived in a broken condition, but one of the members in our model train club was able to repair it.Their was also a $25.00 repair Bill enclosed.I just recently Emailed Bachmann questioning the repair bill especially when having to fix the replacement 0 6 0 . I also asked them by phone at the time that if the engine was unrepairable, could we (train Club)have the old engine back for parts as other members have similar engines.TOO bad we were not offered a discount on the newlly announced 50 Ton 2 Truck Climax with sound.

General Discussion / Re: Customer Service
March 10, 2009, 01:44:34 PM
My experience with Bachmann Customer has been excellent.I have e-mailed several times and always a reply within a day or two.Yesterday I phoned toll free and talked to a person, and within a few minutes my order for parts was completed and it will be in the mail shortly. The fellow whom I talked to was polite and helpful. How,s that for good service, and the price for parts and mail to B.C. was cheap.                                 Cheers
