On30 / Obvious new product
October 31, 2020, 07:58:37 AM
The well deserved hype around the East Broad Top these days I believe makes the next obvious big On30 seller any EBT model. The locos and the doodlebug would go great on my freelance layout.

Ok, I give up. Who is already making outside frame 2-6-2s? I can't find one on Google or eBay.

I'm hoping to see an outside frame 2-6-0 or 2-6-2 of Maine 2 footer design. Maybe available as tender or tank engines to please a larger demographic ?

A Mason-Bogie, any of them. Any 6-drivered Maine 2footer. Any EBT.

Thanks for the information. Does anyone know which class of N&W 4-8-2 the Bachmann model represents? I would measure the drivers if I already had one.

HO / 4-8-2

I see the 4-8-2 with sound and DCC is available in N&W. Does anyone know if the N&W version is the same as the 4-8-2s the N&W sold to the W&LE?

I would like an updated h16-44 in P&WV. Or how about h20-44s? As far as steam goes how about 4-4-2s , a decent 0-4-0 and pre-USRA 2-8-2s and 4-6-2s. The NYCs' versions would be nice as they ended up on many other roads either through mergers or copying design.

HO / Re: Who's Buying?

Maybe the bad economy will bring back kits. My favorite kits are Red Caboose, followed by Protos and then Intermountain. They were 10$ on sale and the detail was either perfect or alterable to be perfect with little effort. My dealer told me 10 years ago or so that the kits weren't selling. I bought what I could then and now I scavenge trainshows for them. Also I have been adding details to old AHM,Bachmann,Roco and other less detailed model freight cars.

I'm rooting for an outside frame 2-6-0 or 2-6-2.  I have done many Mount Blue kits (and love them) but haven't done any Deerfield River kits. How does everyone like the Deerfield River kits?

General Discussion / Re: EMD BL2
February 03, 2009, 01:09:41 PM
The Western Maryland had two BL-2s. They kept them until after the Chessie merger. Most of their career they were tied to a slug unit for hump service. The BL-2s were found to have weak frames so that if ever used in consist they would be on the head end. Both Wesrern Maryland BL-2s were saved. One is in the B&O Museum and one is running in Elkins, WV .
I'm sure you can find one on e-bay under Proto 2000.

Yes, please more Maine rolling stock and how about log loaders, cranes and/or rail mounted steam shovels to go with the side dumps and V dumps.

I'll second that! Some H20-44s would be well received too!
