Thanks fellows a lot.   You know I looked all over the bottom and I guess I didn't see the two screws as they are reset a little and of course black colored exactually as the tender.

I am very appreciative of the help here and other websites for getting assistance. I have at times helped others when I could.  Gee, what did we do years ago? No internet !

Cheers, happy training.  Darryl

My tender is one from Baldwin Modern 4-4-0 with DCC and Sound. #80129
I pulled off the coal load and can see the electronics but I need to remove them for another system. So here is my problem, other websites show older tenders but no pictures or something on how to take the tender shell off this system. So what holds the tender shell on and how to remove it.
Cheers, Darryl

I believe the biggest problem was not the lack of engines but getting the gear problem solved. I have about five, maybe more On30 engines that the gears need to replaced.  I stopped buying engines as enough was enough.

I am still selling off most of the On30 engines and bought HO engines without changing the track. Now I run the good On30 stuff and when the need arises, change to HO. Maybe some day I will be out of On30 completely but I really do not wish to go that route with eBay. Can't sell any On30 locally as most are into HO or N scale.

It would have been a different story if metal gears were used instead of plastic but that is old history now.

It has a 8 pin plug and a small speaker attached. No name anywhere ?   Oh well, someone might be able to figure who was the manufacture..   Many thanks,   :)

Thanks for some help. Would the sound system have just numbers and no name?  A picture of a Bachmann system , chip, installed might help.   Does the number 49/08/44 have any meaning?   :)

I was asked how one would know who makes the sound systems that come with a Bachmann  engine or one that has been added later on. Is there a code number or something else. Inquiring minds like to know. Anyone?

Kind of hoped there might be a three truck Climax or Shay on On30.  Might have to go back into HO just to fill my wants. Pity....

On30 / Re: Stack replacement
December 17, 2013, 12:46:12 PM
Thanks Steve.    Make mine Guinness Stout always.

I just finished removing the original stack and installed the Onion/Cabbage stack. It sure has a small Phillips screw and was it ever tight !   I used a dab of glue to hold the screw on the driver as Steve mentioned to install the new stack.

On30 / Stack replacement

How about changing the stacks on a 2-6-6-2.  I would like to put an onion/cabbage stack on the engine and before I break something, is this an easy job? Take my hand and lead me...   Help appreciated.

On30 / Re: Info needed on 2-6-6-2

Thanks fellows.

I all most knew there was suppose to be three stacks and I sorta figured there had to be some paperwork or CD but the seller said no.  The price was right and it does run and work as it should.  Sure like the sound......

On30 / Info needed on 2-6-6-2
December 03, 2013, 12:48:15 AM
Hi

I picked up a second hand 2-6-6-2 with factory DCC, factory sound and need to know if three different smoke stacks came with this loco? Also was it suppose to have a manual and some paperwork for the sound system?

On30 / Re: New Diesel Specs.

Thanks for posting info on the new diesels.   Only one that looks good to me, the yellow version and that is just barely acceptable. I would most likely buy one and modify it somewhat to look better in my eyes anyway...  Cheers, T O F

Surprise surprise lookie what showed up in the mail !!   I received parts for my Shays and parts for a Railtruck but nothing about any Climax parts ?   Hmmm

Well the parts I received will keep me occupied for awhile and maybe the other parts will be coming...

Cheers to Bachmann folks for getting these out to us and better late than never..   :)
