i think i got an answer.....yes the dcc command will allow two to run forward on the same track in opposite directions...i think i have to change the individual polarity on the locomotive...is this easy and can it be done right on the ez command?
also...just for curiosity....if i attempt my reverse loop without anything (no auto reverse loop detector) and get a short.....will anything break or will i just have to power down and all will be well?

Thanks for your help everybody...
okay....i want to use a reverse loop.....i am looking for the bachmann reverse loop (ez command now)...now...i still need this even with dcc? and...with dcc (the bachmann starter ez command) can i run two locomotives on the same track going forward in opposite directions to simulate a crash if so desired?
Thanks and sorry if what i wrote is confusing.

Hi,
I have recieved some very skilled advice about converting to dcc. the easiest so far was to remove my ho scale grinch shell and put it on a dcc locomotive.
which one should i get?
thanks.

Even with my new basic kid's sets....grinch and Thomas....can I convert them easily to DCC?
I would like to move them around independently.
Thanks.
You guys are soooo good at this stuff.

okay..im starting with a thomas set for my kids.....comes with standard black circle track.....can i expand?
do all ez track connect ?
does black go with nickle track or vsilver/nickle?

i want to attack a automatic crossing gate and it says it is only compatible with nickle or silver.....hmmmmmm?

do other trains....ho.....run on my bachmann track?
and....lol....why bachmann? i picked it first for the size and the characters for my kids.....but.....are they comparable?...everyone says lionel are the best.

okay....thanks for listening and im sure i will get the answers once my stuff arrives but i don't want to spend a fortune in order to learn.
so far i have arriving in the next couple of days:
thomas set
gordon locomotive
ez track xtra track...black
30 degree crossing
grinch set

ummmmm.....i think that is it.
thanks.
