On30 / Re: Your dream loco for Bachmann to produce

Any of the EBT mikes or M1.  Even a loco like M7 would be interesting.

HO / Logging mikado

Since Bachmann seems to be interested in logging prototypes, here's something I think would be a good seller, and would fit that theme..

Some kind of 70 ton or 90 ton or whatever size logging mikado.

Or an EBT 2-8-2 would be nice, maybe #12 to keep it small.  Maybe I should start scratchbuilding one and we'll get both!

Although I'd enjoy a N&W one just as much, I think this locomotive:

would go very well with other Bachmann locomotives, like the 2-8-0 and 2-10-0.

How about it Bachman?

Bachmann made it before, just upgrade the tooling and re-release it.

On30 / Re: 0-4-4 Forney
March 16, 2009, 01:10:27 PM
If you took the pilot truck off of the Bachmann o.f. Forney, shortened it, and changed some details, it would be close.  I guess it could be kitbashed pretty easily.

But for something different, I've had this idea in my head for a while of a 0-4-4 Forney with 1 fluted and 1 modern dome, an oil light converted to an electric light, an open wood cab, covered with "junk", and very battered.

Sorry, I forgot you have to be logged in to see that area of the forum, but this:  http://www.nmia.com/~vrbass/steam/forney1.jpg  is close to it, other than being inside frame instead of outside and not modernized.

I would like to see a 0-4-4 version of the Forney made like this one.

On30 / Re: Larger On30 Shay

Even though there were only 1 or 2 (IIRC) of them built in narrow gauge, I want an ON30 Pacific Coast Shay, and there were no narrow gauge ones but I want a 4-truck Shay too.

The 2-8-2s I don't think are, but the inside frame 2-4-2 is based on a Magma Arizona loco,
