I too would love to see the heavy mountain in B&O...I agree the EM1 tender would work. I can still remember them when I was very young. Another wish is for Bachmann to issue the North East Steel caboose in B&O. In the capitol dome livery? It would only require paint and lettering.

Model Power made/makes a USRA light Pacific. I have a couple of them they were first made without traction tires and slipped excessively. They did sell replacement tired drivers I switched out. Not a beginner project. They run well now. Over the past couple of years I've seen they produce several steam locos with the tires, micro trains couplers and DCC with sound. MB Klein did carry them . Also, check  Utube.for a video. I believe there is at least one out there that shows one in operation. We still need more steam in N scale like Bachmann' K4 and beautiful new Hudson. Thank you Bachmann for remembering us steam fans with some great locomotives.

I received my August 2020 issue of Model Railroaded today with a big surprise Bachmann ad on the back. I never thought I'd ever see this loco produced again. Thank you Bavhmann. I've hoped for a  J3a NYC Hudson  for many years.  :D This made my 4th of July! I am happy. The set of 7 Walthers N scar NYC cars I purchased for the James Witcomb Reiley years ago will have it's locomotive.

There were a couple of others too. Arnold Rapid o produced a Bavarian S3/6 with smoke many years ago and It think it was Ibertrain (Spanish manufactute) produced a tiny 0-4-0 with smoke. It was sold in a set with three two axle coaches with interior ligjts. I saw this set at a train show in Dayton, Ohio in the early 1990's. I regret not purchasing it as a novelty. It wasn't expensive.

Ah..and speaking of the 4-6-4 Hudson .  A NYC J1e or J3a Hudson would be very high on my list of "Got to have's a couple of's"  ;D

Bachmann gave me my wish for a K4s. I'm Happy. An H10 with sound would be a hit for me too. Any of the 2-8-0's would be great to see again. DCC and sound would only make it better.

N / Re: whistle change on your new k4 pacific

Thanks for the tip kewatin, The banshee whistle sounded much better in operation. Still, I liked the 1 and 2 whistles for the post war and pre war versions. I set mine to 1 too, although 2 sounds good as well. Only it seemed a little low on volume. Maybe the volume can be increase. I'll need to check that out further.
These are beautiful loco's and were well worth the wait. Thanks Bachmann. Nice job!

Now that Bachmann is producing the K4s Pacific 4-6-2. I would think the PRR L1 Mikado might be in the future. The boiler is nearly the same except for the sand dome I believe. And there may be another PRR loco that shares the boiler too, but I'm not certain. Perhaps a Mikado would be a nice starting point. Personally I'd like a T1 4-4-4-4. A far off dream. Make one in B&O paint too just to be different.

Eric, I agree the whistle doesn't sound correct for the K4s. Hearing in on my layout will be the test. If it isn't it can be changed.
Don't feel to bad about getting ribbed on the whistle. I've got another question on  the loco that may not be as easy to change. First, the loco looks good and I am grateful to Bachmann for producing it. I'm am ready to pull out my wallet as soon as they hit the shelves. My question is about the sand dome. Is it correct, or is just a tad too tall? I think I'll go find a hole to crawl in to now.

I know, I know, I'm getting my hopes up...

I don't intend to dash your dreams Eric, but I asked the Bachmann a somewhat similar question last year. Got the same basic response and a 4-6-0 announcement at the convention.... :'(....(a silent tear falls)....Maybe, just maybe the Bachmann has been hard at work on a "super wonderfulistic" K4 I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

I forgot I wrote this. Looks as if Bachmann is coming  though with the "Super wonderfulistic" K4s at last.  I am happy.

I would like to see Bachmann produce a H8 Allegheney I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Make that two of us.
Include me with the H8 request and add the sound chip. I brokedown and purchased the Kanawha 2724 last week. Love the sounds on the Berk. Very nice.

At this late date, I'm hoping Bachmann will have a second run.
I'd love to have the PM 1225 and a Nickle plate, but I got hit with a pre-order disease.
Too many pre-orders coming due at the same time and too little $$$.  :(

N / Re: Any news on the N scale 2-8-4 Berkshire?

Thanks to all for the update. Considering the loco was first announced this last August, a first of the year or spring delivery is great. I've waited six years for BLI 's PRR M1. The Berkshire is truly a short wait. I look forward to it.

N / Any news on the N scale 2-8-4 Berkshire?

It's been a while since I've seen any news on the N scale Berkshire. Is delivery still expected before Christmas?

All news is appriciated.

P.S. Bet a nice Pennsylvania 4-6-2 K4s wouldn't take as long....Grumble ;-P
