i have a whole house floor mounted hepa filter for my train room. on low speed(very little noise) it keeps the entire room dust free... my room is also in my finished basement and the room itself is completely finished so that helps.

The ON30 equipment runs on HO track as you know.  So it will fit fine

As far as current draw from a larger loco, many of my ON30 locos have smaller n scale decoders in them
So it shall work just fine

Ok. That's a bachmann g scale wonderland flyer. Ac not dcc.

Are you certain that the track power is plugged into the track power output connection on the power pack and not the accessories connection?

The gauge is on the box and in the instructions. How about a model number?  That will also tell you if it's a dcc set.  You have to read a bit and have some info before anyone can help you. We cannot guess for you.

He said engine to tender.  That would be the drawbar.  And piece of plastic with holes drilled in it will work

Linzthom. This is rediculous.    How much will it cost to mail your parts from Washington state, us to NZ?

I will send an email asking for my replacement gears. And when they arrive, mail them to you.  Message me what gears you need. I can't believe this is still going on.  It took two times to get my gears.

Is it possible that the track is hooked up to accessory terminals?

1st question. Are you putting the decoder plugs in the correct orientation? Pin 1 must go in socket 1
