If you go to the On30 Kitbashing or Conspiracy forums, look in my Spring Creek Models photo folder. I have run some castings for a On30 diesel body that is dased on a GE Export prototype but slightly modified. It will fit on either HO chassis, S scale chassis, or it will use the NWSL power trucks. I have sideframes that measure out to a 6 foot wheel base that will fit these. These are resin castings and have basic details and are easily modified for any kit bashing project. I plan to offer thses on an order filled basis. Priced VERY reasonable. Send me an email if interested. Katmedia@live.com

On30 / Re: Undecorated 2-6-0 kit ?
November 03, 2013, 03:16:58 PM
Add my vote for the kit! I would buy several to make my roster more rounded. I like having several locos with the same "Family" details.
I would think the retail price of such a kit would be at least 20%less than a RTR model.

On30 / Matching "Tweetsie" Green paint for 4-6-0
July 26, 2011, 04:10:29 PM
I am trying to find a matching green paint for the On30 Tweetsie Green mogul. Some have suggested Scalecoat II Southern Green. I also need a match for the green as used on the passenger cars.
Thanks for any help. Rick Bell

On30 / On30 Shay disassembly
March 25, 2010, 05:33:27 PM
Does anyone know or have the proper disassembly instructions for the 2 truck On30 Shay? I have been troubleshooting the loco. The DCC sounds are good but no noise or movement in the gears. The loco seemed to be getting warm and then today does not move. In testing the diodes, D1 & D2 on the main board, they appear to be open. Has anyone ever had the problem of burning out these diodes before? The rest of the circuit checks okay. I just want to test the motor before changing the diodes to make sure the gear train is free.
Thanks for any interest or help.
PS... my truck gears are all good, no splits.
