I just solder my feed wires to a rial joiner or, preferably, to the rail itself. Why would you use an unsightly terminal track on your model railroad?

That's exactly what I did with my son's first layout. It was ez track with two connected loops. I used Atlas plastic rail joiners to isolate the loops. The only issue of concern is that we had to make sure the polarity switches on the packs were set identically. Otherwise (obviously) there was a conflict when the engine straddled the isolated regions.

I have that turntable and it is fantastic. I happen to have a brand new bridge for the Walther's 130 turntable, if anyone is interested. It is complete with a drive. I don't see me kitbashing anything with it because I lack the talent.

I hope they rewrite the code on that page. There are images over text, etc.

Pea gravel has rounded edges and thus is disqualified from suitability as ballast. Chick grit, as previously mentioned, is ideal. You can still use the pea gravel under chick grit if you like.

I installed Bachmann couplers on my sons LGB cars without incident or modification.

I used to do something very similar. I kept entire trains on spurs in my freight yard; 14 of them to be exact. Now I just keep the rolling stock in the freight yard and the engines are in the new engine yard, which features a Walthers 130' turntable.

Incidentally, I attempted (with two different browsers, mind you) to send you  a private message without success. I got the error message "The letters you typed don't match the letters that were shown in the picture." THERE WAS NO PICTURE.

My daughter is 16 and she Facebooks, Myspaces, and texts on her phone and Ipod routinely. None of that has adversely affected her ability to write, spell, or articulate a thought. She has consistently won Young Author Awards in school.

I don't buy the whole "Students failing because of Twitter, texting" notion. And that article is chock full of terrible grammar and phraseology.

I use them (McHenry #51 sprung knuckle couplers...) also, but only until I have a chance to install a Kadee #5. Those flimsy plastic shafts are too thin and there is far too much slop in most draft gear boxes to actually KNOW what height your coupler will be continuously operating at, and they aren't valuable enough to bother shimming.

I've got two bags of those. I was hoping the "track locks" you were referring to were a product "that attaches to tracks and keeps them from migrating on carpet and wood floors when a train is running".

The LGB track ties you mentioned (I have those, too) won't work on Bachmann track.
