HO / EZ Track manual switch levers

Does EZ have a manual switch throw for their EZ switchs? the Caboose Ind product does not appear to work. The slide does operate but a throw would be more positive.
PS I tripped on the green switch wire and it yanked the reseptacles  so I think to do  that switch manually.  :)

HO / Bachmann SP Daylight 4446

Hello. I bought a new GS-4 Bachmann on a close out a couple years ago. It did not run out of the box. I got side tracked with other things and now wonder if anyone is interested in the engine. also how much does Bachmann charge to fix the engine. It must be something simple. Thanks for any advice.  ;)

On30 / Re: Favorite Spot? Down with Ebay.

We like the Favorite Spot too. We quit using Ebay and paypal for all kinds of reasons. Try Ebid.com which is like Ebay was at first. It is growing and is viable.  ;)

General Discussion / Re: 2 boys, 2 trains, 1 layout?

Nice that you have 2 boys and a dad to help. My first thought is that N scale would be tedious for  your boys and they may lose interest very quickly. I would rethink this before you get to committed. HO.

As you notice there are very knowledgeable people here to advise although some may over technologicize sp at least to a novice.

You want a tunnel, cut holes in the ends of a shoebox. You wantt a bridge, stack some books up as needed to support tracks temporarily to get where you need to be. I have EZ track in HO and the 9 inch straight track or curved pieces are rigid enough to use as a bridge span on top of your book bridge piers. Kids want instant results however temporary. I have other ideas for the asking.
good luck.

Dear Bachmann. I need to make up 6 1/2" gap to close my siding. I see 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 inch packs and a misc shorter pack without dimentions. Which do I need and what am I buying? Got trains.

Hey do not leave.

I have a Bachmann 4 4 0 CB&Q etc that has about 5 minutes of runtime and was new last year. I find that it does not like the EZ track switches. It was 70 bucks w/o DCC. What you got to trade? I like logging flats or a camp car. It ought to be worth $40 NIB. Be well.
