General Discussion / Acela Express
November 02, 2008, 12:18:59 PM
I remember reading about a web site that someone had posted involving the Acela Express.  Anyone remember what that is?  I am building two trains and would like to see about obtaining two powered locomotives for their chassis.  I don't care if they work or not.  Bachmann no longer has the chassis.  Thanks for any assistance,  Stephen

General Discussion / Product page
March 15, 2008, 04:27:20 AM
Is anyone else having problems with the product page?  For about one week now, the page is coming up unavailable at this time.  Since I am currently overseas, it may be just my firewall.  Just curious....Mr. Bach-man...?                Stephen

General Discussion / Train Show

Bach-Man

just for a little info for me, are you going to be at the H & R Trains, Train Show on the 13, 14 and 15 of April, in Pinellas Park FL?  I am on active duty at MacDill AFB right now and plan to take leave for the show.  Alice indicated that Bachmann is an avid supporter of their show.  Stephen

HO / DCC decoder behaviour
February 12, 2007, 01:31:17 PM
I have a brand new Bachmann F40PH Phase III loco and first run it in DC and it worked very well.  I then took a new Bachmann decoder and installed it in the loco.  Not my first one!  The loco began to run at a moderate pace with the throttle turned completely off.  (EZ Command)  When I put the controller on 10 I can control the throttle somewhat.  It will not change directions nor will any of the other functions work.  I thought maybe I had a bad decoder and tried another one.  Same results.  Anybody have any ideas here?  thanks     Stephen

General Discussion / 2007 Catalog
February 09, 2007, 08:03:34 AM
Bach Man,
Just received your new catalog last evening and was excited and pleased with what I read and saw.  Very well laid out.  Kudo's to you.  I do however, just couldn't seem to get by without a complaint could I, (lol)  I noticed that you no longer advertise the 55 ton Climax in HO scale.  I do understand the possible economics but it seems such a shame.  I have not yet been able to purchase the Climax.  The #3 Moore-Keppel is currently running where I live, or about an hour away.  Great little steam engine!  I also noted that the HO scale 80 ton Shay no is no longer advertised with the Cass Scenic Railroad decoration!  That's a shame too!  I am an hour from Cass WV and that is the icon of timbering in WV!  Just had to relay my dissapointment but I do understand if no one but me buys them you can't very well continue to make them.  I do have a question for you though, is it possible to get the Cass decals and I can decorated and number the undec Shays?  I know I can get them made but it might be better if they were available from Bachmann.  Thanks for all the effort Bachmann has made this past year and to a catalog well worth waiting for!  Stephen
