Hi all I tought some of you would be interested about putting sound in the Davenport.
Check out the MRC Sounder for a great sounding Chip, it is small and easy to put in the Bachmann "Davenport" The chip goes in front of the motor and the speaker goes in the cab mounted to the roof. If anyone is interrested let me know and I will send you some pics.

Hi  everyone on the On30 board, I am a newby and this question perhaps has been asked. But here goes, has the power pickup on the 0-4-0 been improved ? I have installed DCC in a number of 0-4-0s and they all worked till they jumped a switch and the little plunger springs folded like a cheep card table and the little engines were toast. (Have About 6 in a box)
  I have a 0-4-2 with DCC and sound and there pickups appear to be holding up great. If the new 0-4-0 has the same pickups I will try them again as I think they are great little engines.
