HO / Why was my Coupler question deleted?
June 17, 2007, 03:53:34 AM
Why was my question about Kadee Couplers deleted? ???

So here, I'll ask it again. Will Bachmann in the future ever mount their rolling stock with Kadee Couplers? The reason I ask this is because all of the people at the model Train Club that I belong to change them out, because plastic springs just don't work....like the kind that are on McHenery Couplers. They come uncoupled all the time, or break. The reason I like Kadee so much is because they are made of metal, have magnetism, and have a spring.....and they are not flimsy like the plastic ones.

Since Kadee couplers is mostly on more expensive engines from other companies, it would be really nice if Bachmann could make a few cars, or engines with Kadee Couplers. Bachmann engines are really nice, and pretty expensive. Might as well put on some good couplers right? Saves everybody the trouble of changing them out for good couplers. Sorry to cut down plastic couplers, but they really are terrible.

Now.....what was the reason that my first post on this get deleted? Is it not good for business that I tell you the truth?:-\  If I were in charge of a company, this would be information that I would want to know.

HO / Heisler decision?
May 30, 2007, 08:46:49 PM
Has Bachmann or Bachmann Spectrum ever come to a decision of they will ever produce a HO Heisler?  I asked Rivarrossi and Hornby, and they said that they won't be making any more.

HO / Metal Wheel Tire vs Traction Tire
May 16, 2007, 04:08:58 AM
PCM (Precision Craft Models) has something on their engines called "Metal Wheel Tires" which is suppose to be a new thing compared to Traction Tires.

My question is, what is the difference?

HO / 2-6-2T's or 0-6-0T's for Bachmann?
April 02, 2007, 12:36:58 AM
I am wondering if Bachmann can make any 2-6-2T's or 0-6-0T's?  I like the look of the Quincy 2-6-2T's....Or another branch line type 0-6-0T. Will Bachmann make any of these? And if they do, will they be DCC ready?

Something like this:

HO / Auxiliary Water Tenders
March 14, 2007, 07:16:07 AM
I am wondering if Bachmann can produce Auxiliary Water Tenders with different kinds of road names.     i.e:  UP, SP, WP, ext.   I have a Marklin Trix Big Boy, and it would really look great to have a yellow Auxiliary Water Tender behind it  :)

HO / Heisler
February 11, 2007, 09:45:30 PM
Has there been any discussion in Bachmann Sprectrum making a Heisler?  There are no more Rivarossi Heislers left. They stoped making them. I really want one, and wish I could find more Rivarossi ones......but I can't because there is none left in the local Train stores around where I live.

HO / Steptoe Valley #3........A childhood memory engine
February 10, 2007, 02:38:12 AM
Today, I was looking back on some of my old home videos that had been recorded when I was 6 years old at Niles Canyon Railway. If anybody is familure with this tourist line, they used to have a little 0-4-0 steam engine called Steptoe Valley #3. I used to ride that engine a lot when I was a little kid, and even got a cab ride from it once. Unfortunately, it has been torn apart for about 8 years now, and has never been rebuilt back up. But I used to really remember that engine as a childhood memory, and really miss it.

I am wondering if Bachmann can produce this engine?  Here is the picture:

HO / Southern Pacific 4-10-2
February 02, 2007, 07:36:41 PM
This is a new forum, so I thought I would mention an idea of mine that some people were talking about on the old forum. My idea would be an Southern Pacific 4-10-2 for the Spectrum line of Bachmann. Some people didn't like the idea of a 4-12-2, because of the amount of wheels, which may not be able to take curves well. So I figure I would go a little less wheels and mention the 4-10-2. The engine has 3 cylinders. The 3rd cylinder and 3rd cylinder drive rod crank is located behind the pilot. This is an O scale picture of the engine:
