HO / Pre-war air-electric PCC trolleys.
January 15, 2008, 07:39:47 AM
Dear Mr. Bachmann;

Being a long-time owner of a fleet of PCC's and Brill Suburbans, I was tickled when the Peter Witt was released. Are there any chances in the near term, that the current all-electric PCC's might be supplemented with a pre-war air-electric PCC, on either the same chassis, or a new one similar to that for the Peter Witt's? Adding those would fill in the late 1930's gap, in my trolley roster.

HO / Sound for subway-elevated trains.
December 12, 2007, 12:58:07 PM
Mr. Bach Man;

I have a large roster of subway-elevated trains, that I'd like to add sound to. Since the main sounds they have in common with steam and diesels are whistle or air horn, coupling, air compressor, and wheel squeal on tight curves, is it possible to use a DCC decoder meant for steam or diesels, while cutting out the diesel prime mover, or steam "chuff"? For cost considerations, I'd like to use Bachmann decoders, due to the size of my car roster.

HO / Working block signal system.
September 15, 2007, 02:28:47 AM
Since I model a subway-elevated line like those in New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago, I've been installing lineside block signals. Does anybody here have working signals on their layout? If so, are they Type-D (vertical row of green-over-yellow-over red); Type-G (upside-down triangle of green-and-yellow-over-red); or semaphore (either upper or lower quadrant)?

HO / CityScenes skyscrapers.

Has Bachmann considered a new release of the CityScenes buildings, such as the Trade Tower, Metropolitan Building, Ambassador Hotel, or any other building of ten stories or taller?

Has Bachmann ever considered producing a RTR single-point switch, either in Code 100 nickel-silver, or smaller rail, that can be used for streetcar trackage? There's an obvious gap in the market for such switches, even if they are simply a modification of an existing sectional switch, for such use.

HO / HO scale subway-elevated cars.
August 07, 2007, 10:57:14 PM
Now that it look's like Walthers will not be doing another subway train for some time after the Proto 1000 R-21/22 subway sets, will Bachmann consider doing a subway set, either another New York City subway/elevated train, or one in Philadelphia, Boston, or Chicago, in HO scale?
