Large / Colorado and Southern
March 10, 2012, 01:23:42 AM
Does anyone know any good sources for the Colorado and Southern Railroad online? It seems as though everybody spends their time with the more favoured Denver and Rio Grande  :'(

Thanks

HO / 3 Axle Diesel
June 10, 2011, 01:39:19 PM
Hello everyone,

I was curious as to what the smallest three axle diesel made in HO is that I could use on my railroad for switching and roadwork. It's a modern class 3 shortline/ tourist railroad. (not that that matters any) Thanks for the help!

Large / 2-8-0 Connie Modification

How hard would it be to turn the Bachmann 2-8-0 Connie into a 4-8-0 Mastadon?

I'm aiming to make something along these lines:

Large / Tanker Minimum Radius?
June 08, 2010, 01:13:31 AM
hey all-

I am building an indoor switching layout indoors to scratch that itch that my outdoor loop can't. The room I am building in is very limiting on what I can do (11' x 20') and at this point I have built a 6' x 12' table to house my layout, the Corvus, Dedelphis, and Mustelidae Railroad. It has 5' diameter curves and a single siding with R1 switches on either end. My question is that if I spliced a Bachmann 2-8-0 to a 0-8-0T, do you all think that it could negotiate (at least) the 5 foot curves, if not the 4?

Thanks all,
CJLM

Hey'all..

Would moving the cab of a GE45 to one side of the locomotive defeat the purpose of having the counter weights?

Thanks

Large / LGB Mogul Length
December 20, 2009, 06:58:32 PM
Hey there everyone,

I am starting a winter project of building a layout with my son. We ordered an LGB mogul for ourselves for christmas. Does anyone know the length of the engine and tender from front bogie to back tender wheel? We are trying to plan how long a turntable to build.

Thanks again,

Large / LGB and Bachmann Passenger Cars
July 29, 2009, 10:46:51 AM
Hi there everyone,

I was trying to see if anyone had any photos of a Bachmann coach, and a LGB coach together to see the size difference.

If not, can anyone tell me if there is a noticable difference?

Thanks

Large / DCC Help
June 09, 2008, 11:58:53 PM
I am finally breaking ground on my railroad, and have recently took a break to look at different DCC products. There are quite a few choices out there, and I have no idea what to choose. I do have requirments though. I want to run phoenix and sierra sound, and I don't want to use battery power. I also want to be able to run a few engines at a time.

Thanks

Large / K-37 and K-36
April 03, 2008, 11:03:37 PM
Hey Y'all,

I was just looking at the D&RGW's narrow gauge roster and thought what is the difference between the K37 and the K36. I know the K37 was made from a standard gauge consolidation, is the 36 as well. Whats the difference?

Thanks,

Large / Diesel anyone?
December 14, 2007, 11:15:20 PM
Mr Bachmann,

Hey, what happened to diesels? I know this topic was brouth up before, but, where are they?  ??? ??? I'd really like to see some sort of deisel locomotive from you. Your such good quality, and that shouldn't go to waste (not that steam locomotives are!) A few ideas:
-White Pass and Yukon GE90
-White Pass and Yukon Alco Loco
-Another GE45 Tonner?
-The Sumpter Valley/ Rio Grande Diesel (hey you and LGB can make the same locomotive)
-Any other ideas anyone? Please add on! ;)
