I have the 2-8-0 Spectrum I bought new in '07 and it maybe has less than 3hrs run time but has been in airconditioned storage.  When I took it to our Club Christmas train run at a local car dealer this past week you could hear the motor running but no motion.  The wheels would not drive and were more or less free wheeling.

I had a #25757 On30 28 ton two truck Climax I rcvd. it around Dec. of '07.  It had a problem in both forward & reverse directions.  The piston rods were moving & the ecentric was revolving but there was no drive of the drive shafts to the trucks.  Even with a modest load it had this problem and even with the engine alone.  It had very little running time.  Less than 30 minutes.   Well I returned it to Bachmann and they sent me a replacement and it virtualy has the same problem...Is this just the "nature of the beast"  an engineering defect or what do you think???

Where does the Plastic piece that is black, looks like diamond plate, @ 3x1
go.  Looks similar to the cab to tender plate???
