Can I ask a senoir Bachmann expert if this particular duddle bug has the 8 pin feature to allow it to be changed to DCC operation? I have not purchased it yet so I'm not able to take the shell off to view personally. I have a local antique dealer whom has a couple for sale in good condition, but either of us know if we can convert to DCC easily. I thought to post this question before I purchased unit and possibly save myself some aggravation down the road.

HO / How to replace blown bulb in Spectrum passenger car?
November 10, 2014, 02:02:02 PM
Hello Bachmann Folks,
I just purchased a couple of 72' HO Spectrum heavy weight passenger cars (observation and diner car) these 2 passenger cars are in very nice condition, and purchased at a very reasonable price, or so I think! but my observation car has a blown interior light. Does anyone know how to replace this light bulb and were might I find a replacement? I would appreciate step by step instructions as I would very much hate to destroy this very nice passenger car. Thanks Dan.
PS. would the Bachmann company fix if I send back and pay reasonable repair fee?

Good morning to All,
First of all I would like to Thank all of you Gentlemen out there whom help answer all my questions in the past, you have been a huge help explaining all my problems and frustrations and save money by not buying the wrong items. I have a new DCC sound equipped small steamer which is giving me fits! When I run the little steamer and tender around my layout it runs fine, but as soon as I hook 1 or 2 cars on to it the front trucks on the little tender going around curves pulls the front wheels of the front truck off the rails! Now as soon as I use a different engine to pull same car configuration I have no issues at all, but it seems that the tender on the steamer doesn't have enough weight to hold itself down on the tracks? Have any of you ever heard of such a problem? if so how did you fix it? As allways I would very much appreciate any help from a experienced model train export. Dan.

Good morning Gent's,
Again another newbie question! Is there any web site or information site on what degree of curve track is needed for a again area or layout? My wife and I are building a double oval track for a Christmas display and would like to use the 30 degree Bachmann crossing between ovals to connect them together, (not a figure 8 layout) now I need to install 1 curve track on each outlet of crossing to get my track to run parallel/straight again. I have tried 18" radius curve track, turn to much, then tried a 22" radius curve and still to great of a curve, now I hate to just keep ordering different radius till I find the correct outcome, there must be a better way! I asked my local hobby shop and got a very generic answer, keep coming back and buying more different curves until you find what works! really in todays information age this is the answer from a hobby store, guess he likes to sell products! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dan.

Good day Folks,
I have been out of model trains and layouts for 30+ years now, but just starting to get back in to it. I have a question concerning purchasing some of the older/earlier bachmann rolling stock with the old style horn couplers? Can these cars be converted over to the new style magnetic Bachmann knuckle couplers with out much trouble? I purchased a new Bachmann starter set and would like to increase my rolling stock to mate with the new silver series rolling stock, is it possible? I would appreciate any help in this matter. Sincerely, Dan.
