I decided to turn my Forney into a 2-4-0, but before I do this i just wanted to ask if there is any advice or tips that can help with the conversion? anything to watch out for?

if the on30 freight cars where full sized how long would they be in Feet? just need a rough estaminet. 

It is k-27 463 in the 1920s before it was rebuild to what it is today. I few other verisons of the loco like this have slopeback tenders and also there where ealier types just like this with out the light generator by the cab and it just had the oil box light. Its different then the MMI k-27s and it can fit other peoples layouts for those who want to kitbas it into something or just have it not lettered different. IT does not look like the Rio Grande engine most people have seen.

Ok There is a topic of people wanting a k-27 but MMi already has a k-27. I know i would get one to if bman made one. The question comes up Y does bachmann want to build an engine someone all ready makes?

Well i say to make people happy who model Colorado NG and everyone else who models logging and mining railroads and also not make the same engine they should do a new 2-8-0. I think the best engine to model would be the CS/RGS 74. Thats two Colorado road names taken care of right there but also like the 2-6-0 they can also put other road names on that fit other railroads. BLI no long makes the c-16 so there is no company that makes and inside frame 2-8-0, its a big power engine but also small enough to fit shot line logging railroads.

I know some people model on30 to model 3ft gauge or also 2ft? while others just model 30inch gauge. Just wondering what people do what?

I model mostly Colorado 3ft gauge stuff in on30 but im also starting on a Main 2ft gauge switching layout.

is there anyone that makes an N scale 4-6-0 or does the B-man have any plans for an n scale 4-6-0?

oh i have a small dc set up but i can get my shay to work on it. i just get the head light turn on. I also have a goose that works fine on my track.

any help please?

im using a regular dc track and i can just get the headlight to light up. I can't get the engine to movie at all.

just out of curiosity does any one have pics of then next to each other? I just want to see what the difference in size is.

I have the non sound sound dcc ready goose here in my dorm at schoo in Colorado l, but on my layout at home (Chicago) i have the Bachmann ez dcc and was wondering if the chips bachmann sells (cause i have 2 extra at home) would aslo work in the goose or are they for bachmann engines only?

y not make some of their engines. the 2-8-2s would be great for a new engine, and the all ready made
2-8-0 can fit there for some WP&Y engines too.



and with different lettering the engine are good for the Sumpter Valley Railway and they are also similar to the EBT mikes with some small changes

It would be a good way for Bachmann to make a bigger engine and still be different then other companies.

Bachman can also make some diesel for the the modern day modeler if they wanted to.


what do you people think?

ok i know mountain models makes the k-27 in on30 but there are two looks the k-27 and i think Mountain models only does the after the rebuild look of the k-27s what wee see today as 463 and 464.

So Bachman can do the original look of the k-27s when they where first built.

the original look to 463  (they also had slopeback tenders at one point)

anyone know where i can get one at the best price for my on30 locos?

idea for the bman

whaleback tenders

the can bee ddc ready and all you have to do is switch from the reg tender and plug it into the whaleback tender and just plug the new one in.

you can also make ones for those people with out the dcc and have nothing in them.

the will be great for the kit bashers.

Bachman her is a idea if you come out with a 4-6-0 in 2008.

you can make it a few different ways.

one like the tweetsie's engine.

one type like the RGS 20

and lastly Do a Souther Pacific Narrow gauge engine with the whaleback tenders.

has anyone move the last drive back on the 2-6-0 and how do you do it? Pics would help

Just an idea how about some White Pass engine in on30.
there are a lot of different engine you can model in On30 both steam and diesel.

ok i just go the Bachman ez command but i can't get the BLT c-16 to run on it. at the moment i can find the BLT manual about the engine if i need to do something there. The engine makes the sounds but does not move. IT makes the sounds what every# and i know it is not progrmamed for all 10 #s on the controler.  I can get it to move eather.
so can someone help me?
