I remember a post from Loco Bill about building your own packs.  The commercially made packs are way overpriced.  ???

Large / New track ties
December 22, 2011, 06:30:13 AM
Mr. B

Will ties, for the new brass track, be available in bulk?  I am using aluminum code 332 rail.  From what I have seen, Bachmann ties look better than the AMS ties I am currently using.

Any Info ???

Thanks
Richard

Large / k-27/Airwire Question
March 02, 2008, 09:42:24 AM
Has anyone solved the problem of the K-27 running in the 14/28 step mode on the airwire?  Mine runs fine in the 128 step mode but the motor hums(PWC).  The other modes it takes off down the track.  I have changed the CV-2 to zero.  One of the airwire manuals states the the default motor starting voltage is 7, the other manual is zero.  I did power the Bachmann, board, for the optical sensors, removed the motor leads and put them directly into the decoder.  I don't think it would be necessary to create a custom speed table at this point but the motor hum is annoying. ??? ???

I would like to be able to turn the lights on/off with the transmitter.  Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone direct me to the posts on installing the switching transistor?  Now that I am ready to install my equipment,  I can't seem to find the posts.  What solder tabs, on the bachman board, does the emitter and base connect?   ??? ???

Large / Airwire decoder to K-27 board
January 23, 2008, 10:24:54 AM
Can anyone supply me with a diagram of the connections between the Airwire decoder and the K-27 board.  I know about the transistor for the chuff circuit.  Phoenix has a circuit diagram for the  P-5 to the decoder but I have not seen a diagram for the decoder to the K-27 board.   ???

Has anyone tried removing the cab roof?  Looks as if it snaps on an off but I would rather not try without hearing from someone. ???

Large / K-27 Headlight
October 11, 2007, 05:07:29 PM
Every photo of K-27's show the headlight and tender light with a visor.  The photos of the model in the photo gallery do not show a visor
Will this be corrected?

Just ordered my K-27.  Will all versions come with the dog house, tender light and snow plow?   What is the release date for the frameless tank cars?
