There has been a lot of controversy over whether Arthur is an Ivatt Class 2 tank or a BR Class 3 tank. It can only be assured that Arthur is an Ivatt Class 2. Yes, he does closely resemble a 3MT in several ways, but there is one main detail that proves he is an Ivatt Class 2: Arthur is an LMS locomotive. The first ten of the Ivatt Class 2's were built by the LMS before nationalization. The BR Class 3's were built at Swindon Works, ex-works of the GWR, after nationalization. Henceforth, Arthur is indeed an Ivatt Class 2, NOT a BR Class 3.

Dan: Bachmann Western Maryland 2-8-0 Consolidation; compare him to Henry.


Kyle: Bachmann Erie USRA 0-6-0; compare him to Thomas.


Philip: IHC Western Maryland 2-10-2 Mountain Class; compare him to Gordon and Spencer.

Kyle will become a permanent Sodor engine once he's introduced. Dan and Philip will most likely just be visitors from America.

Is there any way to make DCC locomotives start and accelerate smoother? My consolidation doesn't start moving until I move the throttle to 30 on DC power :\

I have a DCC Spectrum Consolidation. Often times when I try to reverse the engine into a siding on my layout, the tender derails. I think it is because of the wires being close to the draw-bar and not allowing it to swivel normally. Is there anything that I can do about this problem?

I was filming episode 1 of my series today using Edward and Toby doubleheading a train. They were running fine, then the engines were going really slow, and then they just stopped. I tested Toby and he was fine, but Edward won't move. I took him apart and reassembled him according to the instructions, but he still won't run. I've had him since 2008. If I send him to Bachmann would they be able to fix him or is the warranty up?

So, I'm a bit confused. On trainworldonline.com the LS snowplow is listed and not James, and on the Bachmann website James is listed but not the snowplow. What's actually coming out this year?

What is the difference between HOn3 and HOn30 track? Does the rail spacing equal up to N Scale track?

I was looking at the Tidmouth Sheds and noticed that the tracks between the engine stalls and the turntable weren't spread out. Can the tracks be extended with the use of appropriate track or does the roundhouse connect to the turntable?

Btw, my computer is still down. I'm using my phone

Im makng a track plan for when I get my own place and I'm hoping to base it on Sodor. Can anyone post some maps of different Sodor places, mainly Tidmouth, Knapford, and Elsbridge? I'll accept others aswell. Ty

I'm having some track issues. I use Bachmann Steel Alloy track. I've had problems before but they were easily fixed. Now I don't know WHAT to do.

So, I was cleaning my track today before starting up my engines (I used a track eraser). I started my loco and in certain spots it was jerking, and I said, "Ok...track's a little dirty." So I cleaned that section of track. Well, that didn't work. I tried cleaning it again-didn't work. I tried several more times and had no success. Seeing that wouldn't work I tried to move the track's placement a bit, as I've noticed over the years that track positioning will affect the power connections. I ajusted the track. Nothing. I tried cleaning the track AGAIN. Didn't work. I cleaned my loco's wheels. Nothing. I tried everything could imagine. I checked the wiring, the power supply, EVERYTHING! Nothing worked.

I don't really no what to do. Should I buy new track (preferably Bachmann's Nickel Silver track)?

I'm not sure. If you can, Mr. B, give me some advice or ANYTHING! I need help

I know you probably don't have any info on Knapford yet, but I have a few questions anyway.

1. How many platforms are inside Knapford?
2. What tracks are needed for inside Knapford in all 6 (if there are 6) platforms?
3. Do platforms 3 and 4 end inside the station as they do in the TV series?
4. I'm making a track plan for a 15x20 model railroad for inside a garage and I want to add Knapford. I'm having difficulties leading the tracks into Knapford. I won't state my question until you have dimensions

I was running my LS Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel on a track with a configuration like this:



When the consist went around the bends marked in red Annie and/or Clarabel knocked Thomas and the coaches off of the track. Is there anyway I can eliminate this problem
