Williams by Bachmann / Patent's
June 22, 2015, 10:33:03 PM
Are there patents on any railing systems on Williams's trains. I'm looking at a possible replacement for the stations on the old SD-45. Saw the way to rebuild with bobbypins in Classic Model Trains mag. If I find a way to get them made is there a problem with Bachmann. Don't won't to be out of line.

Not that I would ever sell my Williams Trains!!!!!!!!!!!!  But how can you find the value of them? Like for insurance reasons. I have some that are no longer available. How do you know the value?

Williams by Bachmann / Just an observation!
January 30, 2010, 02:52:53 PM
I have noticed on all the forums I go to that there is a lot of people that like Williams now Williams by Bachmann trains and what is not to like! But what is so impressing is how there is almost never a slamming on WBB on all the other forums. If there is a problem it is always a easy fix. The Big Boys as they are referred to I think have missed something. Quality, not in all the fancy stuff, but, in just to keep them running. Yes, I to have bought the others and as they age problems come up and they get pricey to fix with that plug and play or through away mentality. I keep going back to my Williams by Bachmann knowing that they will always work! I love this hobby and as I get older my hearing getting bad all the noise that the others make frustrate me and put me on edge. I know I can turn the sound off, but why pay for all the stuff if you're not going to use it. That also seams to be why the others get bashed. All the expensive hardware. My WBB stable has 2 steam, 2 ABA sets, and 8 other diesel engines and I love them all. Thank you, WBB for a great hobby!

Williams by Bachmann / WBB RTR Sets
October 11, 2009, 11:23:22 AM
On one of the other forums they are talking about Williams Ready To Run set that are coming out. Is this true? The other question is about the transformer. A Atlas 80 watt. I have thought that you needed 90 watts for Williams engines. Anyway I think that starter sets would be great for Williams by Bachmann! Something that I think Jerry missed out on.

Williams by Bachmann / Constant Voltage Lights
September 08, 2009, 08:50:51 AM
I just bought a J Class a couple a weeks ago. Runs and smokes great! The one thing I did notice is the light is very dim, constant but dim. Not bright like my S-1. Can I put a different bulb in it? Right now it has a 8 volt.

Williams by Bachmann / FIRST WILLIAMS STEAM!!!
June 18, 2009, 11:09:57 PM
Got my first Williams steam engine! Its a 671 turbine with digital whistle. I love it! Runs like a champ and smokes like crazy! My wife likes it better than all the MTH I have and I think I do also.
Got a few questions? I have a lot of Williams diesels that are great but I'm not that happy with True Blast two. My layout is only 11 by 8 and the True Blast last about the whole trip around.
The digital whistle on the 671 is much shorter and I love the sound. Are the True Blast on all the steams like the digital whistle on the 671? I used Bachmann fluid and that worked great. That question was answered on another thread. I didn't get instructions so I guess lube is the same as any other manufacter?
If this is a good example of a Williams by Bachmann steam engine I'm sold. I'll be getting more! Also thank you Bachmann for the cataloge. I got it the other day!

Williams by Bachmann / Thank you, Bachmann!

I got a Platinun Club letter yesterday that said that the Williams line will be made with the same quality and at the same manufacturer. Great News for those of us that enjoy the best conventional 0 gauge trains made! The letter also said that the Platinum Club will be restructured. I'm looking forward to see the change. I used the old news letters to see whats new and then called Marty ( MA & PA Junction ) to order. Very happy to see that all is going forward. The letter also has a order person at Bachmann: Judith Martin at 215-533-1600 ext 218 that we can call later in the year when everything is up and running. I wish that it was all done for Christmas but I can also understand that this is a big job that does take time to set up. I run trains all year long so timing isn't a big issue. Looking forward to a New Year with Williams by Bachmann, and more fun and enjoyment with my hobby. A VERY BIG THANK YOU TO BACHMANN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
