General Discussion / Name That Locomotive Game
January 04, 2009, 01:39:17 AM
Alrighty, I'm firing this back up!!!

Same rules as Alex's cause his were better than mine.....have fun and lets hope and this one will strive like the two before it!!!!!

Here are the rules
1. One Contest May Run at a Time. Once a contest is finished anyone may post a picture.
2. Any Gauge and Country are Welcome.
3. Please only use photo's that are of public domain. When in doubt just post a link.
4. If a locomotive has not been named after 24 hours of its posting I will ask if the poster could please "Spill the Beans" so we may be able to move on. However, if there are many legitimate guesses it will stay until solved.
5. Have Fun!
I will start us off

OK I want railroad and locomotive type.......have fun everyone and remember first right guess gets to got next

( I edited the RR and #)

Hey, i decided to make this thread for anything and everything related to you favorite railroad, or anyone in general. You can post fact, pictures or stories about the railroad its a free-for-all!!!

Did you know That Santa Fe's Amos and Andy were named after the TV show? (Thanks Alex)

Did you know Amos and Andy where later turned into this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ATSF_10.jpg

Did you know Santa Fe really isn't a fallen flag, they bought BN and int he contract decided to make one railroad BNSF.

Ok theres a lot of did you knows so Did you know......

The Santa FE Blue goose was scrapped because it was always dirty and no appealing?

The blue goose is not the Santa Fe's only streamlined engine the Valley Flyer was streamlined as well.

Santa Fe owned three ferry boats

The first diesel Santa Fe owned is still in existence

OK I'll stop now, but just have fun with it and remember Santa Fe ALL the way!!

HO / A engine fo mine
September 13, 2008, 11:48:17 PM
bought one of your bachmann spectrum engines at a train show on Saturday and it doesn't run. To top of the fact that it does run when i was taking it out the box the whole front broke off the engine. I was wondering if bachmann could fix my locomotive. It is a limited edition Baldwin locomotive works 2-8-0.

I noticed a little while back the 4-8-4's were going dcc, i wasn't a Santa Fe fan back then, but i am now. It saddened me to notice there was no 3751 as a number choice, why is that bachmann?

General Discussion / Your layouts
March 06, 2008, 10:59:26 PM
I am thinking about redoing my layout. It will be called the Santa Fe Alma District. it will be in steam and early diesel around 1943. It will be themed in Midwest to Kansas. the railroad is the good Ole' AT&SF. It will have a engine terminal. It will have daily branchline passenger. hourly local freight operations, most freight will be 10 to 12 cars long. How does this sound to you all?

What about your layouts?
