I am starting a new layout and would like to add a Logging operation. I have been looking at buying a Shay for some time now but with all the negetive things I have read I am afraid to make the investment. I looked at one in the LHS a couple weeks ago and it seemed to run very jerkey. Is this normal or is this one of the many problems. Please help.

I have been trying to find the 'track test car' I saw a couple weeks ago on this site. I have spent the last two hours and still am not able to find it. Can some one help me. There was a web site link listed that I ever visited but didn't save. Shame on me.

Does any one have the new H-8 Alleghany with DCC & Sound? If so how do you like it.

I recently purchased a couple Bachmann engines with sound and am having problems programming the addresses. I looked at the Digitrax web site and they recommend using a 1k ohm resistor between Prog A & B. Has anyone had the same problems with Bachmann decoders and if so did this resolve the problem?

Since this is my first Steam Engine with sound maybe I was expecting to much.
Can some one tell me if the Bachmann Spectrum series are good engines or should I be looking at another brand.

Sorry Mr. Bachmann..but with the spot light broken off, the steam sound on all the time, the tender keeps coming loose from the engine, and it has a lot of trouble with going through switches. My new K-4 runs circles around the  H-6. Any help would be appreciated.

I have yet to do some research on the tenders but didn't expect such a small tender on the H-6. My K-4 tender it twice the size. Is this the correct tender for this engines?

Does anyone know when C & O went from white lettering to yellow. My old K-4 has white lettering so I was just wondering.

Does anyone own a Bachmann Spectrum series 2-6-6-2? I am looking at purchasing one and would like to know more about the Tsunami sound technology. The info says it operates on both DC & DCC. My layout is DCC powered and I was wondering if it would be good investment.

Can someone help with the wiring of Tortoise switch machines. I am using Figure #2 on the directions with a single DC power supply. Several of them work fine but some of them will only work once and then nothing. I have checked for binding but that doesn't seem to be a problem. I am using DPDT switches and also DPDT center off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
