Hi Everyone...

Need a bit of Help hear I have an ACELLA Set with 1 Powered LOCO & A Dummy LOCO on the other end. I had the Powered Loco converted into a DCC Decoder with Sound @ my local Hobby shop. Well when I got the Engine Back 1 week after NEW YEARS I Dropped off the LOCO before Thanksgiving. The LOCO sounds like CRAP / Runs Crappy too & YES my Track is Clean LOL. I Popped off the Shell & it looks like the Train TECH put in a Frankenstin'ed Decoder & looked used & was in a different LOCO before the wires did not look new. I called the Hobby Shop Up to find out the Hobby shop owner Had to FIRE the Train TECH & give him a lifetime BAND to the hobby shop  Turns out this guy was taking Money for Repairs & pocketing the Money & putting Used Equipment in Clients Locos & once not working well got MORE Money & making other HACK Repairs & Taking that money as well from clients. This was a 3 year Scam going on under the owners knowledge. But I was still out the $175.00 I myself & the other 10 owners that got the shaft from this guy. Now the LAW is looking into his Action's & everything is pending so who knows what's going to happen to the guy.


MY Question... Is there a DCC Decoder with sound designed for this LOCO I can get & what brand & price. Thanks 

ANYWAY my main Reason for the POST

I have an ACELLA set it came with 2 Locos 1 powered & 1 non-powered & the Locos are NOT the HHP Locos does anyone know the history on this set JUST pulled this car out of 1 of my train storage bins under my Layout.... I Remember I got This as an extra car I got from a Train Shop over 2 hours away that closed up I went there cause of the good deal's & it was the only car they had so I picked it up as an extra car BOX is a little damaged but the CAR is in perfect shape...

I got this Loco from a Neighbor / Friend 2 doors up from me that was cleaning up the basement @ his Mothers House & gave it to me.
It has no Box or brand markings on it. I just know it's a DC Loco My questions are is it worth keeping or refurbishing it & how much would this Loco be worth Cleaned up & resold..

I was @ my HS yesterday I am thinking of picking up a Bachmann E7-A DCC with sound value package in PRR Tuscan paint scheme. It is a decent sized loco (in length) I was wondering what is the lowest radius turns this loco can handle. I plan on using the Loco for passenger service since I already have PRR Passenger cars & this loco fit's into the ERA & the PRR used the E7-A for passenger service.

How is the reliability on this loco as well

Hello everyone... I decided to add another industry for switching on my layout I am building a Coal Mine from a kit I bought at my HS. I have already started building the add-on section to my layout & track my question is when I get that far how would I go about making a few STOCK PILES of Coal & the items to use to make the piles & where to place in accordance to the building...My Coal Mine Kit has a 2 track setup.

Hello Everyone.... I have a slight problem / issue Friday afternoon my dad came over & my neighbor for an operating session on my layout. MY dad has an Acela Set he picked up a long time ago from a Train Show that no longer is run "maybe some of you old timers heard of it" The Broken Rail Train show held @ Goodman Campus Rauch Field house on Lehigh U in Bethlehem PA I Believe it only lasted 2 years.

Anyways My Dad loves to run his Acela when he comes for operating sessions & about 3 years ago I took my dads Loco to get a Sound & DCC decoder installed I took it to a HS that has closed up. I Paid the guy $ 200.00 up front to install the Decoder & did not get the Loco back for another 6 weeks & constant messages left with the guy. Well to find out the Loco only has a Idling sound to it No throttle up no nothing else just a very faint horn. That night I took the Loco to a different HS & the Train Tech popped off the shell & said he did not recognize the Decoder Brand & asked who did the install I stated the guys name & the guy said to me I got Robbed Blind & the guy was a CON-MAN.. & went on to say wile working @ the HS he stole many clients Locos took out the good stuff & would re install less quality grade stuff. 1 reason that HS closed down... He also said that guy is under court orders he can not go to any Train Show or inside any Train show within the courts limits... GREAT Now what.

The Train Tech suggested I got on hear & to ask what if any DCC sound decoder can be used he did not have an answer for a replacement. He did say to try TCS WOW decoders.. Can anyone help me find a good replacement sound decoder....

Thinking of buying a Bachmann F-7 Loco equipped with the Bachmann EZ-APP just wondering if anyone has a Loco with the EZ-APP. How well does it work with a Cell Phone (I have an android cell) Do you need Wi-Fi or Internet for Loco to work. Is Loco DDC & Sound

My Hobby Shop just got a few Bachmann EZ-APP Loco's In for the Christmas Season & I am thinking of picking 1 up. The Loco's look pretty good in detail But with some light Weathering Loco's would look awesome.

The Hobby Shop owner said he picked a few Loco's up to see if they would sell over the Christmas season & for the fact the Loco runs off an APP on your cell phone. & might be a Hit for Tech Savvy Kid's...

I have been looking for PRR or LVRR Passenger Car's Not Hi in Price & decent quality built in materials. I had a set of 4 LVRR passenger car's I got from a yard sale a wile back but they did not work well uncoupled a lot did not roll good on the rails I even changed to steel wheels (I think they where OLD Athern car's. I wound up throwing them away. So I am in search of new decent Passenger Car's.... Any help on this subject Thanks

Hi everyone.....Did anyone attend this Show & what did you think

I decided to take a ride on Sat Morning & check the show out.... OMG NOT worth the $9.00 admission fee to get into the show it was crowded A lot of older Stuff O Gauge / Lionel / S Gauge... Vendors there where trying to sell ALOT OF JUNK @ Top Prices... I am mainly a HO guy myself not interested in all the OLDER Gauges SO after walking around drinking my coffee for a 1hr -15min I left the show... I was very disappointed that there was not a lot of HO Vendors there & the few that where there was charging TOP DOLLAR for everything... Well every vendor there acted like there stuff was made of gold & a lot of them where not that friendly either.... I felt like the $ 9.00 admission price was a rip off....

Thinking of getting Bachmann's GE-ES44AC... Lehigh Valley Heritage edition....

This Loco has DCC & Sound I was wondering if they where programmable
Such as Throttle settings or steps / Bell - Horn / Is the decoder readable on a program track...

How reliable are the engines.... How sharp of turns will this loco handle
Does anyone else have these Locos...I plan on running loco on my layout witch is full DCC

I have an Acella set.. But not with the HPP Engine My Engine #is 2004... I had a DCC decoder installed but no sound the Train Tech that puts in all my DCC & Sound profiles in my locos @ my Train hobby shop said he does not know what sound profile to use So he just did a DCC decoder until I found out what is the proper sound profile... Does anyone know what Sound profile I can use & tell pass the info to the Tech & is the proper sound for the engine at question....I would like to have sound...  Oh just wondering can Smoke be added too to this engine... Thanks

Hello... Maybe some of the older guys in the hobby longer than I am Can HELP ME with my QUESTION @ the Bottom of my post... I just completed my HO Railroad Layout it's size is 17 Feet Long x 6 Feet Wide...
I have a 9 Track Yard area "ORG Plans called for only 6 track Yard but decided to up it to 9 based on my Stock of Rolling Stock & Locos... A 2 Track main line & 3 Track Interchange leading to mainline tracks & Yard I also have a passenger siding & Station... Total build time 4 years Started construction January 2013 & is now 95% complete with buildings / scenery / weathered track / ballasting... My Layout is Full DCC with 2 Throttle Stations all my Locos are DCC / Sound All I have left is minor touch up's to layout & install carpet in the Layout Room & Layout accent Lighting as well as build a external wall with insulation & Door to Complete MY TRAIN ROOM / Man Cave LOL.....

My Question is I have a Bachmann GP-38 2nd Generation I had it running the other night my friend was over we where having an operating session he stated GP-38's did not have Turbos my GP-38 is equipped with a Turbo My Friend said I have the wrong sound profile in my GP-38... I strive to model all my Locos with the proper sounds of that loco... Please advise me of this...
