I'm looking for the washers and spacers that sit between the wheels and bearings on the wheel axles. Bachmann doesn't carry them. Anyone know where I can find these parts?

Are replacement parts for 38 ton shay axle gears or axles available from Bachmann? Through the kindness of a fellow shay owner I was able to get my shay running again. However, three of the four original axle gears have come apart and need replacing.

I'm in the process of installing the pickup rollers into the gearbox holder of the rear truck and to say the least it's a tight fit. It should just snap into place but that's not happening. Knowing how fragile the plastic is on the gearboxes I'm reluctant to force it. Anyone have experience getting these in place without breaking the plastic?

Like many other shay owners the rear gearbox housing on mine is toast. The plastic replacements are sold out. I see a metal replacement gearbox part. Is the replacement an exact fit?

Also, the plastic bottom plate I have is still good. Will that fit the replacement metal housing? The replacement metal bottom plate is over twice the price of the metal gearbox (what's up with that?) so I'd like to use what I have.

The front and rear knuckle couplers on my 38 ton shay need to be replaced. There is metal replacement for them but it appears I can only purchase one at a time. Why is one the limit?
