Williams by Bachmann / GG1 engine won't run!
December 28, 2011, 01:01:01 AM
I unpacked my semi scale Williams GG1 from storage, removed the cardboard packing, put it on the track, and you guessed it, it won't run! The engine's horn "squacks"  and the engine barely moves. I tried it with my CW80 and with the ZW and got the same results, it doesn't run. I don't know if the engine is running without lubrication. I am at a loss. Can it be repaired?? Please help me get my favorite engine back on the rails

Williams by Bachmann / Diesel Switcher bell

Is it possible to replace the bell in the diesel switcher engine with a horn/bell combination? Is it an easy replacement or is soldering, etc involved?

When I run my Berkshire using a Lionel CW80 transformer, the bell and whistle work, it smokes OK, but doesn't reverse. Is it a transformer issue, or the engine?

Williams by Bachmann / Williams trains inclusion
December 21, 2007, 11:52:58 AM
Greetings from mikemarxs.
I am an old Lionel train collector who discovered that Williams trains ran better and gave less grief than Lionel postwar engines that I had been collecting and running. My question is when will your Emails begin to include the Williams items? I am hoping that Bachmann will keep the good trains available and not do anything to reduce their quality and relatively uncomplicated running ability.
