Is there a way to make the sounds on my new FA-2 true blast plus louder?  You can't hear it when it is moving.  The horn is new though!!

N / N Scale Consolidation with sound
January 12, 2020, 09:17:09 PM
I purchased a 2-8-0 Consolidation in N scale as my first loco with sound.  I have a large N scale layout and it is conventional DC.  I realize the sounds I can get with be limited---has anyone been able to activate the whistle sound.  I do get bell and chuffing sounds and they are excellent!!  Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!  Also-- I have found that is stalls briefly on some (but not all) turnouts.

N / New F-7
March 10, 2014, 09:46:55 PM
Just wanted to say how much I love the new Bachmann F-7.  I bought one today---painted in B&O---and you can bet I will be buying more.  This is the best Bachmann engine I have ever had.  Great job!!!

Williams by Bachmann / True Blast Volume
February 10, 2013, 05:31:46 PM
I have several WBB locomotives and they all run great!!!  My concern is that the volume of some of the True Blast Horn systems vary in volumes by engine---but most are not as loud as sound from other manufacturers that have a volume control onboard the unit.  Several of my WBB locos have their horn and bell drowned out by the sounds of the wheels of long trains that they are pulling or especially when more than one train is running too. The sound of these units are fine, but I wish I would make it louder.  Is there any way to do this---or have I missed something obvious?

Thanks for your advice here.

Williams by Bachmann / EP 5 Pantographs
December 29, 2012, 11:30:01 PM
I received an EP 5 recently and it did not come with a instruction book.  All is great with the engine, it works fine, but the installation of the pantographs is stumping me (I have been at this for 30+ years) and I know there is an obvious answer.   I have called Bachmann customer service to try to get the manual either in person or on line but to no avail.

Anyone have any helpful suggestions?
