On the OGR Forum today, an OGR sponsor dealer "Mario's Trains", has announced some sort of Williams by Bachmann "comeback." See this link:

https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/topic/williams-by-bachmann-is-making-a-comeback?reply=155293810650955644#155293810650955644

We are all wondering what exciting products are a part of this.  Many are posting wish lists that seem to be commonly repeated requests.
I sure hope Williams is in fact "coming back" with more products!

I plan to buy a Tropicana 70 ton switcher. They are later than expected. Any updated estimates on availability?

October 03, 2017, 05:54:40 PM
I have 3 older Williams GG1' s with "horn" only and would like to upgrad these to correct GG1 horn.  Any suggestions?  Will the new Bachmann Williams GG1 sound be able to be added?

Williams by Bachmann / 2017 Williams
February 23, 2017, 10:43:28 PM
I eagerly opened the downloaded catalog and sifted through page after page of HO, N, On3, more structures, Large Scale, to finally reach the Williams section.  My hope of a Cities Sprinter Amtrak locomotive like the HO one quickly gone.  As well was my hope of a Caltrains Baby Bullet F59.  New paint schemes on the GP30.... nope!   F3 in something new like SP bloody nose... nope.   Bachmann, you really need to put a bit more fresh product in the offerings.  F59 is great!  But a couple more paint schemes would be smart.  Caltrains. MARC, TRIRAIL, Railrunner... you guys would sell out on Albuquerque Railrunner units.  Metra!  Bachmann...awaken energize..refresh!   I love your products and just yesterday bought a Southern 4-6-2 from Marios Trains.  But youre going to lose ground and market share if you do not kick this up a notch!  Seriously.  Rethink this lukewarm catalog of leftovers. Seriously!

Williams by Bachmann / 44 Ton Amtrak switcher
January 17, 2017, 04:17:45 PM
I am requesting that WBB produce an Amtrak version of the 44 Ton switcher.  Amtrak has had 45, 65, and 80 ton switchers over the years.  They all look pretty much the same as this 44 ton.  Either phase 1 2 stripe, phase 3 with 3 stripes, or modern logo blue and platinum.  Sell more of what you already have capability of making by adding more road names.  Many of us want more recent paint schemes vs only the historic versions offered

Williams by Bachmann / F59PHI
January 17, 2017, 02:53:25 PM
I see a few places advertising Williams F59PHI locomotives  in three road names.  Is this product coming out?  I cant find this on the WBB website.   If it is true, I would want to buy one or two in Caltrain colors which pull their "baby bullet" trains.

Williams by Bachmann / SP bloody nose F3
July 16, 2016, 11:08:56 PM
Bachmann,
How about set of Southern Pacific F-3 locomotives in the bloody nose and grey scheme.  These were used for both passenger and freight and into the early Amtrak era pulling the Coast Starlight, Sunset Limited, and other western services.  This is a product not made by anyone yet.  Make these and you shall sell.  Many manufacturers have made SP passenger sets in the red and plain stainless steel scheme.   The bloody nose F-3 units by Williams would go well with these cars and freight.

I am eager to buy one of the GP30's but will only buy more recent (modern) era paint schemes.  I would suggest Santa Fe, Conrail, CSX (both recent schemes).  Additionally a Penn Central with red & white "worm" logo.  Although Norfolk Southern would be a fictional scheme on a GP30,  many of us would enjoy this road as well.

Williams by Bachmann / VIA Rail F3
September 15, 2012, 12:28:59 PM
I am going to put a plug in for the F3 locomotives to be offered in VIA Rail Canada yellow and blue paint scheme.   Glad to see the Norfolk Southern and Penn Central F3's, both of which I purchased, added to your lineup of offerings.

Now, how about an item never made in O Scale, VIA Rail F3's?

Williams by Bachmann / Amtrak Phase V Genesis
August 15, 2012, 05:45:24 PM
Where are the Amtrak Genesis Phase V locomotives ?

I ordered these when first announced.   Two dealers have since cancelled my order due to the fact they were ceasing sales of items.  I have them on order again through another dealer.  The latest info on my other thread suggested late July or early August.  Early August is soon to be late August.   I assumed 2012 was the year we were discussing?

Williams by Bachmann / VIA Rail Canada Passenger Trains
January 28, 2012, 01:42:47 PM
I would like to suggest to Williams by Bachmann a pair of F3 or FA locomotives in VIA Rail Canada paint with a set of 60' aluminum cars to match.  The Genesis could be a VIA Rail WbB product offering as well.

Simply a new paint scheme on existing molds.

So far WbB has come through on 2 of my 3 previous wishes.  The NS Executive locomotives which have sold VERY well from what I understand.  The upcoming (hopefully) Phase V Genesis.

Still hoping for Penn Central passenger cars for the F3 sets.  And some VIA Rail equipment.

What do you think?

Williams by Bachmann / Amtrak Heritage Genesis
March 21, 2011, 09:31:42 PM
How about a set of Amtrak red-nose "heritage" Genesis locomotives in the production line up at Bachmann?  I am thrilled to see the phase V in the catalog and will buy those the minute they come out.  Next up, how about the Amtrak 40th anniversary heritage schemes, especially the red nose version!

Williams by Bachmann / Amtrak Genesis "Wave" scheme?
February 17, 2011, 11:02:13 AM
I am hearing rumors that Williams by Bachmann will be producing the latest Amtrak paint scheme on the Genesis locos.  The "wave" or "shamu" scheme.  Can anyone confirm this?

If so, 2 out of 2 on my requests for new products from Bachmann Williams.  I eagerly await my NS Executive F3's which are on order, and I will place my order immediately for the new Amtrak Genesis units!

Williams by Bachmann / AutoTrain of the 1970's
December 14, 2010, 07:02:55 PM
Product suggestion!   1970's era AutoTrain by Bachmann Williams.  GE U33C locomotives and 72' cars in the 1970's white with purple & red stripes scheme, pre-Amtrak AutoTrain.

I have read that there are Norfolk Southern F units in the Business Train scheme due to be produced by Bachmann/Williams.  I have suggested this both on this forum and calls to Bachmann, and am thrilled to hear that our requests may have been fulfilled.  Can anyone provide details of the units, release date, photos?

I hope this news is true!

Williams by Bachmann / Hudson smoke unit
October 06, 2009, 10:27:57 AM
I bought a scale Hudson last week,  and put the prescribed amount of smoke fluid in.    The smoke unit worked fine for a day or two,  I refilled the smoke unit as smoke started to taper off.    Suddenly the smoke unit started only making noises and  ceased to produce smoke, sputtered, spraying fluid in a fine mist all over my new loco.    Any tips, advice?
