Williams by Bachmann / sd90 upgrades
December 03, 2011, 07:20:47 PM
just received  three new locos from Mariostrains.com. a Milwaukee Road NW2, and two SD90s. a KCS and UP Heritage unit . the UP unit has the upgraded front windows same as the KCS unit. the window upgrades make already good looking units even better. can we hope that scale handrails are the next upgrade? the UP unit is hard at work on the layout tonight. sorry I do not have a digital camera, all my hobby money goes on trains!

My wife just gave me a Blue Ridge Hauler set from mariostrains.com as an aniversary gift. I wish I had a digital camera to show just how nice this set is. the loco runs great and the freight cars are painted great. good work on this one Bachmann.

Williams by Bachmann / brittish railways

there is a post on the OGR forum asking for Bachmann to make O guage Brittish equipment. I have brought this up from time to time, as has Dave Allen. the quality of Bachmann's 'OO' guage Brittish trains is the best in the market. put a Brittish outline body on a WBB chassis and you would have a sales hit! even Lionel and MTH are on the band wagon. so PLEASE Bachmann. 'O' guage Brittish on a WBB chassis.

Williams by Bachmann / silence is golden

late Friday night I got home after five twelve hour shifts filled with diesel roar, brake squeal, cab chatter, tower announcements, gps upload/download etc etc. sitting on my kitchen table was a box from Mariostrains.com It was my new WBB Missouri Pacific BL2. took it out of the box, lubed the axles and gears. put it on the track pulling ten weaver freight cars and let it run for the next three hours. the sound of steel wheels on tinplate track was sheer heaven! for people like myself who work in the real world of transportation all the model bells and whistles are a real pain. I just want a loco that will work out of the box and work for the next twenty years with a lube job. WBB does that well. that is why I have 26 WBB locos.
