Large / Climax cat No.85093
December 14, 2015, 11:14:37 AM
I have just bought one of these off Ebay - the seller says it has the metal trucks.  Can someone please confirm that this model is indeed fitted with metal trucks and the new drive train ?

Many thanks

Large / A Tale of Two Annies
December 03, 2015, 10:39:48 AM
A superb, affordable model with metal gears, makes this a sought after loco on the Broome Lake & Eastern.  One has the body of a short C19 tender on the original tender chassis, the other is mated to the Consolidation tender (surplus because of the Conso gear problems)

Keep 'em coming, Bacchy, great models !!!!

Large / Another Annie Question
November 19, 2015, 11:51:43 AM
Hi, me again  ;D

This is probably a silly question, but is the body shell from 81099 (the plain black Annie with the nylon gears) the same as 91607 (the plain black Annie with the metal gears ?

Thanks :)

Large / Facelift Annie (Cat No. 91601) - Cab Removal
November 17, 2015, 05:27:23 PM
To save me breaking things with my huge fingers  ;D, please could someone tell me how to remove the cab from my "facelift"  Annie ?

(That's the one with metal gears - as all large scale locos should always have been, Bacchy ! )

Large / The Beautiful Connie - Answer Please Bacchy
April 17, 2014, 12:41:07 PM
This was the first loco I owned, and (thanks to Bachmann's superb price) began my interest in G scale.  So I bought another, and another, and modified the body on one - such a fabulous generic model.

However, all three have now succumbed to the usual gear problem (why did I think I could be a loco so cheaply without problems !!!) so my question is this.

(And this is aimed at Bacchy)

Is the Connie going to be re-introduced (I am always mesmerised by the superb motion), and if so are replacement chassis with metal gears (which is how it should have been manufactutred in the first place) going to be available ?

Large / Can I get away with it ?
April 16, 2014, 10:33:18 AM
Can I get away with using a 47" radius curve ?  Locos I have are new (metal gears - how I wish they all were !) Annie, 2-8-0, 2-6-0 (large one) plus assorted stock, most to the larger 1:20.3 scale (ie large caboose and boxcars, flats, etc)

General Discussion / What's New ?
August 31, 2012, 05:06:31 AM
The "What's New" section is very helpful, but a bit of a nightmare  -  any chance it can be divided in to subsections in the different scales available ?  That way it wouldn't be necessary to trawl through all the scales to find something relevant ?

Thanks  :)

Does anyone know, please, of anywhere I can get metal replacements for the useless plastic handrails that inhabit the ends of the coaches ?  Thanks  :)

Large / Coupling Height
August 30, 2011, 05:21:51 PM
Just got my garden railroad up and running, and tried to put together a long test-train.  To do that I have to mix Big-Hauler with Spectrum stock - and was disappointed to find that the coupling height was different.

Please could you explain why that is, Bacchy ?

Thanks

HO / Large Boilered Consolidation
March 18, 2008, 07:27:03 PM
Hi Mr Bachmann - long time no post  :)

Is there any possibility that you might re-introduce the large boilered 2-8-0 brought up-to-date with DCC and that wonderful Tsunami Sound ?

Would fill a rather large gap  :)
