On30 / Pacific Coast Line Rwy/hminky back
May 28, 2011, 01:04:40 PM
Harold Minkwitz has reloaded his PCALRwy website.
He has numerous helpful On30 articles there that many have asked for in the past.

Save any articles that may help you in the future.   I actually save them as PDF's on my HD in case the web site goes away again.

Is it just my computer or has the forum layout been changed?
The left sidebar is missing with all the links on my forum view.

General Discussion / Bachmann videos commendation
January 10, 2010, 11:42:50 AM
I just came across the You Tube videos that Bachmann has produced and what a great job.
I only regret that they are for the large scale models and I model in On30.
Maybe the Bach Man can get some of these done up for On30?
The videos even have backgrounds, history and photos of prototypes.

Videos cover the 4-4-0, 4-6-0, 2-6-6-2, 2-8-0 and Shay.
Thumbs up Bachmann but don't forget us lonely On30 buyers.

I just received the new 2010 On30 annual and our own Bach-Man has his story of the layout in Hartford featured with photos.
A very nice magazine this year and congratulations BM.

On30 / On30 Truck wheel diameter sizes
May 29, 2009, 06:57:48 PM
Currently Bachmann offers 6 different trucks.
Is there anywhere (either on Bachmann or another website) that the wheel diameters are specified and the height of each truck assembly?

I'm planning to build a couple of rolling stock kits and maybe a scratchbuild and would like to follow 1920's prototype as close as possible.
I have the correct Cyclopedia but need to know which wheelsets and trucks are close to dimensions.
I've been unable to find any dimension drawings on the Bachmann website.

Thanks
Dave M.
