Don't know if there will be any others, this is all that's posted so far. Much more exciting to me is a new 4-4-0 and a 3 truck Climax in HO!

Here's a link if you want to see announcements in other scales.

HO / Spectrum 0-6-0 DCC
July 27, 2009, 11:30:05 PM
I've had a Spectrum 0-6-0 for years now, it's a great little locomotive, however it's from the first run and not DCC ready. I'm really excited that Bachmann decided to do another run of them, and I'm planning on buying myself one in the near future, http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/products.php?act=viewProd&productId=3184 .
Next to the locomotive it has the DCC equiped symbol, and I recall the announcement saying the same thing, however in the list of fetures both online and in the new catalog it states that the locomotive is DCC ready...
Which one is it?
Thanks

On30 / Broken Galloping Goose
May 01, 2009, 11:00:32 PM
Hi, everyone, my first Bachmann ON30 Galloping Goose(in RGS #1) arived today. It's a really great looking model, however running it was a whole different story. I put it on the track and gave it some power, it lurched really badly and made a fair amount of noise. I figured that it just needed to be broken in so a put it at a little over 1/2 power and just let it run. After about 10 minutes it started slowing down(almost to a standstill) every so often. I looked, cleaned my track but could not find any reason for it to be doing so. So I put it back on the track hopping that it would run better. Well it started out but going really slow, and still lurching badly, and after about 2 feet of running it just stopped. I could hear the motor running and with a little help it would run a few inches but it won't move at all on its own. I would asume that it has a split gear. I really don't want to make it any worse so I'm going to send it back to Bachmann. Any-way my question is do I have to fill out the Warenty card or can I just send it back with the reciet? Thanks

April 27, 2009, 10:21:52 PM

HO / 2-8-0 problem
March 07, 2009, 02:54:32 PM
Hi, everyone my 2-8-0 and medium vanderbuilt tender finaly came from the Favorite Spot. I tested the locomotive with its origanal tender and it ran perfectly. When I put the vanderbuilt tender it ran okay untill it came to a curved section of track. When it hit this the front wheels of both the tender's trucks poped off the track. I'v tried messing around with the wires since they seem a bit stiff but this hasn't provided any reasults. Any sugestions would be apriciated, thanks,
Ryan

General Discussion / MRC?
January 25, 2009, 09:07:48 PM
Hi, everyone. I was just on the MRC website and I noticed that they were not making DCC systems anymore...then I saw the same for decoders and DC power packs. I also looked at their non train items and saw the same thing. Have anyone heard if they are closing?

On30 / New announcents
January 10, 2009, 01:12:32 AM
Hi, I hearded that Bachmann will be making new ON30 announcemnts in February.

I have two questions about this.

1.Is this true

2.What will be the dates of this show?

Not trying to be pushy but I'm deciding if I am going to do HO or ON30 and this decision will be made by if Bachmann does anything Colorado Narrow Gauge this year. I really want to do ON30 but since I can only get one locomotive for my proto-type that I have space/money for I am really holding my breath. :-*

December 18, 2008, 10:55:03 PM
The Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad will be having a photo freight pulled by Climax #10 in February 2009. The date has not been decided. This advent was supposed to happen November 2008, but got put off.

The freight train will be pulled by Climax 10, while the passenger train will be pulled by etheir #17(a 2-8-2T) or #7012A(a Ex. Northern Pacific E unit).

On30 / Possible New Gearded Locomotive
December 18, 2008, 10:11:50 PM
Hi every-one, I thought that this locomotive looked really good and might make a really great model. It would fit the Bachmann theme as it was a Baldwin catalog locomotive (although only two were made). What does ever-one else think?

General Discussion / Benchwork cost
November 02, 2008, 12:53:30 AM
Hi every one, could you please give me a guess on what it would cost to build a 4X8 layout's benchwork using birch plywood. Anything within $50 from what it would cost would be great. Thanks, Ryan
