Large / 2-4-2 Repairs

Bachman,
This started out as a compliment for Bachmann and all the folks that do your warranty work and repairs, at first I was most impressed.
I sent a 2-4-2 in for repairs, (it suddenly stopped running). I received it back from Bachmann last week, and was impressed with both the short turn around time and the fact that the entire bottom end had been replaced with the newer model,and much better, drive train. However when I looked closer at the loco, I noticed that the rear coupler (hook) was missing and that both the front and rear axles were severely cracked and out of true on the new bottom end.
I have tried calling and can not get a hold of anyone. I do not want to re-ship, re-pay the warranty fee for necessary repairs, and wait another month for its return. From looking at the way the front and rear axels are assembled; their replacement is beyond my technical expertise.
Please advise.

Need a little help, I'm new to Large Scale. I have started a garden RR, I have laid about 250' of track (aristocraft),and will add more as finances allow. It started with a Bachman 4-6-0 starter set, and now have a Bachman 2-4-2, and  a 4-6-0 anniversary eddition, all rolling stock is also Bachman. I have tested the track and engines using the transformer that came with the starter set....all work well however after a few minutes the engines stop and I must wait for the transformer to "cool down" then they run again. I expected this, as I know the transformer was too small.
My question is what type of power supply do you recommend? I do not need a bunch of bells an whistles, only something make it go "round and round" as my wife says. The max number of engines I will operate at on time will be three, all of my switches are manual (latter powered).

I'm new to G scale RRing. I have had for many years a 4-6-0 Annie for the Christmas tree, but when the grandson came along I bought the 10th anv. edition of the Annie, aristo craft track ect. in order to start construction of a garden RR this spring (we live in GA and spring starts early). I chose Bachmann Locos and rolling stock based on price, quality, and warranty.
My problem#1  is that I sent my older loco in for warranty work in Jan, I have emailed them asking if it was received....no reply; I have tried to call on many occasions can not get a human on the line. #2 is when I bought the new Annie, there were no instructions enclosed, the warranty states that I must maintain and lube as per the instructions for the warranty to be valid. Once again I emailed Bachmann asking for lube instructions and no reply, going to the dealer is not an option because of the distances involved.
Is this normal operating procedure for Bachmann, or should I assume my package did not arrive, and that emails are just not answered promptly?
Can anyone with similiar experiences shed some light on this for me?  :-\
