Williams by Bachmann / 773 Hudson

Will Bachmann be making the Lionel Lines 773 Hudson again?  It has disappeared from the catalog.

Williams by Bachmann / True Blast Plus Question
November 01, 2012, 10:16:11 AM
Does the new True Blast Plus sound system have an external volume adjust pot?  I assume the diesel sounds will run continuously, so the ability to easily adjust sound levels is important.  The True Blast II horn and whistle sounds on my current Williams roster are obnoxiously high and I have never been successful in reducing the sound level with the internal pot on the sound board.

Williams by Bachmann / New True Blast III Request
October 19, 2012, 11:47:01 AM
It is rumored that you are working on a new sound system.  Could you please make your new sound system compatible with postwar as well as modern transformers.  Your current True Blast II sound system works fine using modern transformers, but is hit and miss with postwar transformers.

Williams by Bachmann / Williams Berkshire CW80 Issue
March 06, 2012, 06:26:48 PM
My Williams Berkshire (Southern) will not cycle out of neutral with a Lionel CW80 transformer unless I add a lighted car to the consist.  The electronics load of the Williams reversing unit is not large enough to drop the voltage on the CW80 to zero.  The Williams Berkshire is the only Williams engine I own where the light is off whenever the engine is in neutral.  I have two questions:

1) Is it normal for my Williams Berkshire to have the headlight 'off' in neutral or is my Berkshire wired incorrectly?  My other Williams engines have the headlight on in neutral.

2) How can I rewire my Berkshire to leave the headlight on in neutral so that it will cycle correctly with my CW80 without having to add a lighted car to the consist?

Thank You...

Williams by Bachmann / Williams Whistle/Horn Question
February 10, 2010, 11:36:36 PM
Does Bachmann have any plans to change the whistle/horn from a grade crossing sequence to user controllable?

I would also like to see a volume pot to control sound levels.  I have tried adjusting the sound level on my GG1 using the pot on the sound card, but the pot acts more like an on/off switch than a volume control.

Williams by Bachmann / Semi-Scale GG1 Questions
November 05, 2009, 12:17:51 AM
I have the Golden Memory GG1.  It is a terrific engine.  I have a couple questions.

1) The whistle is extremely loud.  Is there an adjustment pot on the sound board where I can lower the sound level?

2) Both engine lights are very dim at running speeds.  Is there some way to make them brighter?

Thank You...

Williams by Bachmann / How do I Remove Truck Axle?
September 30, 2009, 01:10:06 PM
I have a Williams Southern Berkshire loco.  I have had the engine for several years.  I just noticed that one of the axles on the trailing truck is quite badly bent.  I have no idea what could have bent the axle because the engine is stored on a display shelf whenever it is not running on the layout.  Anyway, I would like to remove the axle and try and straighten it.  How can I remove the axle?

Thank You...
