Williams by Bachmann / parts ordering
October 22, 2016, 10:38:39 AM
I got an email with the offer of 20% off on parts. I get to check out and everything is fine until I give my credit card info, after clicking to pay with credit card it comes up with "cant' do Paypal." I have not even tried to use Paypal as I don't have an account with Paypal.
The guy on the phone said he was referring this to the IT department for investigation as it did the same thing for him.

I would like to be able to buy some parts with the discount.

Williams by Bachmann / upgraded an F-7
March 15, 2016, 01:49:32 PM
I just added an extra center rail pick-up assembly to my F-7 Amtrak diesel(AA set, powered & dummy, no numbers on the F-7's) set. Used an older Crown Edition truck assembly that I had laying around, took the wheels from the F-7 and installed them on the older assembly and added an extra wire to the powered unit to give it better power. Added a horn unit while I was at.

Plasticville U.S.A. / Turnpike toll booths
February 14, 2015, 11:57:38 AM
What color are the Plasticville Turnpike toll booths supposed to be?
Are they green or blue? Is blue the new color?
I have the new E Z Streets set with a blue toll booth, and bought a Plasticville Turnpike set about a year ago with green toll booths, both had sealed plastic bags that the turnpike booths came in.

Williams by Bachmann / E Z Streets set
November 18, 2014, 11:00:56 AM
I am wondering when the new E Z Streets set will be available to purchase?
And what about the new E Z Streets switches also?

I would love to buy the items if available.

Maybe one of the admin people can give us an answer.

Williams by Bachmann / New turnouts for E Z Streets.
April 26, 2014, 06:34:57 PM
WBB is in the process of making 21 inch turnouts with an electric motor for switching for E Z Streets for release around the fourth quarter of this year. There will be both left & right hand turnouts, and have a manual feature as well.
This is posted in the General Discussion forum, under New TCA presentation for 2014.

Williams by Bachmann / Information for E Z Streets
March 15, 2014, 10:51:11 AM
Is there any where to get information about using the new E Z Streets track in O gauge? Like how to assemble the curve to straight tracks? How to power the new E Z Streets and what size screws to fasten it with.

K-Line made a four page instruction manual for Super Streets track and I am hoping that Bachmann will do the same for E Z Streets.

I have worked with many track systems, even in H.O, but this is the first time I have to do my own trial by error with a new track system.

Williams by Bachmann / Williams Station Sounds
March 05, 2014, 10:55:40 AM
I saw an item on ebay saying it has Station Sounds in the passenger car. However I read something on the forum here and a comment was made by 3rd rail, going back to 3-6-2012, and I doubt that this set has rail sounds in the diner car. The set is a set of 6 Madison passenger cars for Norfolk & Western with Powhatan Arrow design on the cars. I don't want to bid if there is no Station Sounds.

Any word on the delivery date of the 2012 Plasticville hopper club car?

Not everybody knows a lot about the newly aquired EZ Streets and how to use it. What about; what size vehicles will fit on EZ Streets?
How do you provide power to the track sections?
Does it mate with other track systems or not?
Are there switch sections coming in the future?
How does it mount to a sheet of plywood if it can? for a more permanant layout.
Will it mate to K-Line's Super Streets?

I am not trying to be negative but if you bought a new car you would want an owner's manual with it, correct? So why not something for EZ Streets?

Has Bachmann given any consideration to doing a Norfolk Southern Heritage diesel run? The other two major companies have started working on castings of models for production of these, at least that is some chatter on OGR forum.

The SD-70ACe is the one I would like to see done.

Might it be too expensive for Bachmann? I would like to know please.

Williams by Bachmann / Where to find an older WBB
June 06, 2012, 03:41:23 PM
Does anybody know where I can purchase a Williams GP-38 cab # 3627, Reading Lines? This is a slightly older WBB engine.
I looked in the current WBB listing and there is no engine by that number, even tried the search feature for GP-38.

General Discussion / How common is an SD-50?
June 03, 2012, 09:06:22 PM
I was looking thru the July 2012 issue of Trains magazine and saw a photo of an SD-50. I have seen SD-40's & 45's, an SD-70 & SD-90 and heard of the SD-80, this is the first time I heard of an SD-50.
Is this an engine that CSX mainly has in their fleet?
Have seen Norfolk Southern run four GP-60's together on a freight train to Miami FL, on FEC tracks.

Williams by Bachmann / New items
March 06, 2012, 12:10:42 PM
How about a new caboose design?
Extended vision, steel sides or a bobber caboose, like Bachmann H.O. has.
Even large scale, 1:120 has three caboose designs!

More variety for passenger cars would be nice as well!  ;D
A double deck push/pull passenger car for metro areas.
More roadnames would be great!
Reading Company or Blue Mountain & Reading passenger service.
Even Florida East Coast Railway passenger cars, from 1964 and before.

General Discussion / Amtrak, southern US
January 10, 2012, 12:32:25 PM
I was on Amtrak the other day and asked a question about passenger service from Jacksonville FL to parts of Missippi, was told that the Amtrak stations were severely damaged and not repaired in order to provide passenger service.
The tracks are completely repaired and railroad bridges replaced in the New Orleans area, but Amtrak has to rebuild their buildings. It could be a few years before Amtrak has service between Jacksonville and Tallahassee FL.

Williams by Bachmann / new caboose?
September 27, 2011, 10:03:46 AM
How about a new design for a caboose besides the N5C porthole caboose?
Not all railroads ran an N5C caboose.
There are more than twelve differant designs for cabooses on the real railroads, even bobber cabooses. But in Williams O gauge we are limited to just one caboose design? ??? :'(
Seems like another company will be getting my modeel RR $$, when it comes to cabooses!!!!

Williams by Bachmann / Crown Edition pass. cars
May 30, 2011, 10:34:37 AM
Is there a reason for the Crown Edition passenger cars to have a differant set of truck assemblies to be installed on the same set of passenger cars?

What I bought just recently was a set of three passenger cars, Reading Company King Coal. My older set has a different set of wheels, three axle with a set of plastic wheels non-flanged on the center axle, compared to the newer passenger cars I just bought that have all three axles with metal wheels with flanges, that look more like K-Line wheel sets than Williams, also the center roller looks like K-Line and not Williams. The other differance is that the newer cars have operating knuckle couplers, where the older ones have fixed couplers.
The passsenger cars look the same side by side, new compared to older ones.

Does any one know how old this engine is? The number is 51923 Western Maryland F-7 diesel, WRL is on the bottom of it or Williams Reproduction Line. This is a Williams before Bachmann engine.
If anybody has info on this engine please post on here! Thank you.

Williams by Bachmann / new engines
April 19, 2011, 04:41:32 PM
After being on the general discussion board, what we need is some GP-35's or GP-39's or GP-60's in O gauge!
And some four car passenger sets to go with these engines, with an optional two car add-on set. Or even a short freight set would be nice to go with the GP-35's or GP-60's.
I feel that Williams needs some more variety or the other big companies are going to get the model railroad dollars.

Williams by Bachmann / Historic Rails hopper cars
March 30, 2011, 03:43:21 PM
I saw some O gauge hopper car two packs in Historic Rails newest catalog, are these Williams by Bachmann? One or both hopper cars have a scale brakeman riding the hopper car at one end of it. There are at least two roadnames for these sets, one is Reading Lines.
Some of the O gauge engines in Historic Rails claim to come with True Blast 2 horns, so I know they are Williams.
